I didn’t write this and I am not anti-vaccination. But this was so well written that I thought some of you might be interested. Its long but its articulate and fun to read, and its backed up with facts and links.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading the 18 reasons by Christian Elliot. I remain suspicious about and unwilling to take any injection surrounded by so much pressure and so little real knowledge about possible fatal reactions.
His site also has a great list of books he recommends (2019). The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel Van Der Kolk. M.D. And another book which is intriguing: Atomic Habits: Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results by James Clear.
I only need 1 reason: Because I don’t want it.
End of story.
18 reasons? You should use 1. reason, evaluating the the risks of the alternatives against each other and that’s it.
Going outside that is not really “reason” just mincing words around an emotional response.
By now it’s not hard to know the chance of covid impact on you. Then look what measures you take against other risks in the same ballpark. Then do a similar action.
Or just go the easy way, join the mass hysteria from one camp or the other, just please don’t call it anything reason.
From the article
“#9: THE VACCINES DO NOT STOP TRANSMISSION OR INFECTION”
No vaccines do. Vaccines stimulate the immune system to create antibodies to counter an infection and remove the pathogen invader from the body of the infected individual person/dog/cat/cow/pig/horse/ferret……
Interesting food for thought in this article and numerous links to additional information, but it is in not a supportive treatise against the vaccines.
All of #9 is evidence that the author doesn’t understand infectious diseases, vaccines, or immunity well enough to trust the validity of his argument. Although well researched, the writing is just middle school level quality. IMO
I think you’re missing something here. “The vaccines” refers to the COVID vaccines, not ALL vaccines.
It’s a true statement. The COVID vaccine isn’t a vaccine at all if it doesn’t stop transmission or infection. Then you must ask:
If it’s not a vaccine, then what is it really, what is it actually doing, and why is it being falsely advertised and pushed as a vaccine?

Wow, just wow. I had already decided I wasn’t going to take the vaccine (I am 23 years old and about as physically fit as can be) but this articulates the reasons for not taking it better than I could ever have done on my own. I sent the article to everyone in my family and all my close friends. Thank you so much for the information.
This is not the first time I have received valuable health information from a BW blogger. That alone is worth the annual dues to be a member. Thank you, Dan, for drawing attention to this excellent article.
Point #3 especially scares the daylights outta me! I had heard a little something about this before, but it’s darned difficult to find further info.
A friend of mine is signed up to get the “vaccine” this morning at 10:15 – not because she’s scared of the virus, but because she thinks she wants to travel, and is afraid she may be prevented to without it. To me that’s the very worst reason in the world. I’ve sent her the link to the article. I hope she reads it before 10:15!
In the meantime, I have a good supply of Ivermectin. My husband, our daughter, son, and their spouses have already gotten the shot. Besides taking it prophylactically myself, it’s on hand in case any of these worst case scenarios to them, I’ll be there to dose them. I have no idea if it will work in such a case, but Ivermectin, with a long history, and being one of the safest drugs on the market, certainly isn’t going to hurt.
I pray for your success stopping your friend from making what seems to be a mistake.
If the friend is a sovereign individual person of sound mind, and adult responsible for her own choices then it is her choice, and this is but one article.
There are sound reasons for choosing not to get any of the current covid vaccines, but claiming to fear it and then putting other unprescribed chemicals in your body ‘just in case’ kind of nullifies the argumentative strength of objection to the vaccine. IMO
That doesn’t mean you can’t convince someone.
If said sovereign individual put a gun to their head and threatened to kill themselves, would you just stand there and let them do it using your “muh sovereign individual” argument? What if that was a family member?
I’m guessing you wouldn’t just stand there, which throws your whole “sovereign individual is untouchable” argument right out the window.
I didn’t stop her, but the powers that be did. She was signed up for the J&J shot, but a “pause” was put on it yesterday morning. I have a feeling she will eventually get “vaccinated,” (in quotes, because supposedly it’s not really a vaccine. So what the heck is it?) I won’t stop her – can’t really, nor do I have the right to; She is a free moral agent and can make her own choices.
She can make her own choices, true. That doesn’t mean you just give up on trying to show someone the truth. That’s how we got to where we are right now in this country. “Oh, well, it’s their own choice. I’ll just stand here and watch as they commit to stupid decisions that will hurt them.”
Such apathy.
it’s called winnowing the gene pool.
