Actually there was a project to do this a long time ago. It was called the national aerospace research plane. I was a sub contractor and made a prototype nose cone that survived a 6000 degree plasma tunnel test. It was for every day use. No tiles or anything to fall off in flight.
My older brother worked on the NASP as well. He has a little model of it. I always asked him when I would get my spandex jacket..

I haven’t seen the Cats trailer but is the “oddness” just because of the way the fur suits look (if so, there are a lot of Cosplay people probably thinking “I can do better than that”) or just the way they act? Is it cringe bad or (I forget the name) similar to animated / computer generated characters that are not quite human looking and make us queasy because they’re just a little /off/?
Three days after release the studio is releasing a revised version with improved CGI fur. They’re not cats, not people… maybe bipedal felonies aliens in another universe?
Is it just me or do these seem to happen more than every three weeks? And is that good or bad?
