Tommy and his family went to a park that has a public swimming pool. He and his wife sat on a bench and his kids played in the pool. His eight year old daughter told him that a man grabbed her bottom in the pool. Tommy asked her to identify him. When he confronted the man, of course the guy said it was an accident. Somehow, in the course of this conversation, the man’s nose got bloodied. Police were called and Tommy was arrested for assault. The real assaulter wasn’t arrested; after a few questions, he was allowed to leave.
Why does a middle aged man, and his two middle aged friends hang out in the kiddie pool? The three predators were not in the company of their own wives and children. They came alone.
Tommy is the most heroic man in Britain. Why isn’t his face on a postage stamp? Why doesn’t he have a seat in Parliament? He has devoted his life to speaking out for little raped girls. Where’s his Nobel Prize?
He said his daughter is wondering if she did the right thing. Perhaps the lesson she learned from the police is, if you love your dad, it’s best to keep your mouth shut.
So, the men with the busy hands, who prefer the shallow end of the pool, are allowed to continue. A country that won’t protect it’s children has no future.
