first question how can I change my user name and not have this auto generated one?

Not sure about your first question. Might be on FAQ or ask Scott. As to your second, the Stratosphere lounge questions are done live on (gasp) Facebook. A couple of times Bill allowed questions to be asked by members who posted them in a spot here. Maybe he will again.
