A very enlightening piece. In addition to talking about modern slavery the author highlights that while what we might call the usual suspects, the USA, UK and the rest of the Anglosphere, are the countries most characterised as “racist” and “oppressive” they actually have the lowest rates of racist attitudes among the public and their governments are doing the most to end modern slavery, as they did to end it historically.
