The word is Spike. I began to hear it off and on about 2 weeks ago. It’s as if the 1st dog whistle, “Follow the Science”, didn’t motivate people fast enough.
But now the word Spike, or Spiked or Spiking, is everywhere. It’s as if CBS and NBC, and WaPO, and the New York Times got together and said, “Ok, THIS will be the word we use. It’s scary, sharp, pokey and a spike is very very very dangerous”.
No one really wants to read all the examples I post below, and as Bill likes to say, I could do this all day. But I won’t. Below is a great list of examples, and add in the amplifying effect. CBS covers the news from NYT, Wapo reports on what CBS said, CNN scrapes it all up off the floor and repeats it…. again. Then it hits FB and Twitter and watch, just watch. The narrative becomes, Bad Orange Man. He opened too soon. People are dying in these Spikes of the Wuhan Coronavirus and it’s all HIS fault. (So Vote Biden)

COVID-19 cases are on the rise in 21 states, according to data compiled by the New York Times. There is some indication that expanded testing is catching more cases, but public health experts say that in reality, the surges are due to states’ reopening and people’s relaxing their social distancing protocols.
“The surge numbers are real,” said Dr. Irwin Redlener, director of the Columbia University National Center for Disaster Preparedness, who is a public health analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.
He said more testing will inevitably capture more positive tests, “but to deny the fact that we’re having an ongoing pandemic with continued spread is contrary to all evidence that we have and everything that we know about the behavior of the virus.”

In reality, the virus continues to ravage the United States and is fast spreading in some mid- and small-sized cities that avoided bad outbreaks this spring. Recent spikes in coronavirus cases have been recorded in Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma — all states where Trump has said he plans to soon hold campaign rallies.

Dr. Fauci says normalcy may not return until next year following Covid-19 Spikes. Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced Friday that the state needed to pause further re-openings, and would not review any new county applications for moving into the next phase for at least 7 days due to recent spikes in cases. Regarding the protests impact on case numbers, Oregon health authority Pat Allen said it was too early to tell whether recent demonstrations contributed to the new case count. He added that they are currently contact tracing and trying to determine when and how those recently infected contracted the virus.

Given that the so called “medical experts” have been totally wrong about just almost everything to do with the covid-19, what are the chances they are right about the spike and its causes? Answer: indistinguishable from zero!
Mass protests, riots, looting, and burning are to be held free from blame. A free people freely getting up in the morning and going to work to earn their keep is to be held as the only cause. If you believe that, I have gold mine stock to sell you real cheep. I can print as much stock as you want to buy. Keep in mind, there is no gold, no mine, no company that can issue legal stock, and no market for it but NOW is the time to cash in – big time.

Only bad ones or allowing people who hopefully not die to get infected so hard immunity kicks in. The area beneath the curve is the same, spikes or not until this occurs. And I say this as someone in the vulnerable group (65+, high blood pressure, overweight and almost, but not quite yet, diabetic.) I am very careful, and lucky that i work at home.

Great post Tim. These things like this get injected into our brains like this and people mostly never notice.
This was the plan along. This is how we get to herd immunity without overloaded the medical ability. I am an extremely susceptible person to die if I get the virus. I will have to be careful until a vaccine is developed and proven. But I am the exception, most people will not die from it but they may have a fate worse than death if they can’t get back to work.
They should be considerate of us who can’t take any chances but the left nut wing folks are buying all the stupid. This tactic is what the left does and the people who know better need to be hammering just as hard, if a nation wide platform can be found that the left does not control.
How do we get the $$$, the willingness, the commitment to do/start this and work it even harder than the left. If the message is not pounded out each & every day with endless repetition and constant verifiable DATA we will find ourselves in a blood bath that will destroy the Republic no matter the outcome.
Then all the children lose and the best country the world has ever seen will be no more,
