A Rational Leftist? I Found One!

Heh. Took a chance to watch, and maybe I should watch something more recent because in this one she seems like she understands a lot about the right, but I think she is also a little naive and is not talking to people who will listen to her.
Funny how she things the people on the right have all the conspiracy theories. I would suspect there are just as many on the left, and I’ll balance any anti-vaxxer (some are lefties too, especially all the Hollywood types which is where it really took off) with all of the new age, crystal healing alt-medicine types.
Also she doesn’t seem to, or at least did not mention, that it is the Left that has far more tokenism than on the right. The whole “you aren’t really black” is just a part of it, but by boxing everyone into black, woman, trans boxes you are isolating them each to one issue and making that their token. You can’t have a black man more worried about the business he built or the lesbian more worried about large government telling her church that they have to allow trans philosophy just like she pushed the gay agenda onto the other churches.
Lastly, her comments about people being boring I think is an insult, in that she’s implying that’s a bad thing but then trying to soften it by saying we will leave her, and her former lefties, alone.
In the end, I don’t think she’s as far left as she thinks she is, and she certainly lumped people into the right that I think are a little farther over than what the right really contains. The tiki torch group that marched that she detested so much is as much a part of the right as the “kill all of the men” groups are of the left… but you don’t hear all that much about them. Could probably lump in some of the “ban all cars” and other Church of Gaia cultists.
