Hopefully he was a believer in Jesus the Messiah, otherwise he’s toast.
I take no pleasure in my enemy’s death, no matter how much I dislike them. Jesus died (and rose again!) for each and every human being in the history of the world and wants ALL to come to faith and to be saved. We as believers must pray for our enemies and seek their repentance and salvation in Christ.
Ezekiel 18:23 – “Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?”
We are commanded in His Word to not gloat when our enemy falls or stumbles. There is a consequence to that.
