In the 90’s I bought an Ice Cube cd, the one with It Was A Good Day on it. I was in my 30’s, so a little old for rap, but the guy’s fierce, unapologetic lyrics, and deadly delivery kept me good company as I strolled to work holding my walkman.
He seemed like a smart person. Antisemitism has made him stupid in recent times. He is promoting tired and old conspiracy theories. He is posting on Twitter about the Black Hebrew Israelites, a group that expresses hatred for Jews and claims to be the true inheritors of Israel. He appears on stage with Louis Farrakhan, and seems genuinely proud to share stage with a man who denies the Holocaust and calls Jewish people vile names.
Why isn’t mainstream media condemning this? In my lifetime I have never seen this level of blatant antisemitism go largely unchallenged. It’s becoming common and unremarkable.

The Democratic Party (not sayin’ that Ice Cube is one of them) in a recent convention (don’t know if it was 2016 or earlier) voted off their platform both God as a reference and defense of Israel. We are seeing the results today, more and more so…
“Why isn’t mainstream media condemning this?”
Sadly, the question answers itself.
