Planned Parenthood Cancel Culture Horror: Abortion Icon Margaret Sanger Falls

Because of her ideas about racial eugenics a century ago, a New York Planned Parenthood clinic named for abortion icon Margaret Sanger gets a name change today. Have the horrors of cancel culture come to doorstep of America’s leading abortion retailer.

I realize that I’m coming to this party late, but this seems to be another coverup by the Left. I don’t think she should disappear at all. To Bill’s point, changing the name doesn’t solve the underlining issue. It’s like putting larger curtains on a wall that has mold. You can cover it up, but it’s still decaying from the inside. The Left is just following it’s path of destroying/hiding the past, so future generations won’t know about it. They change their chant to make it sound like you’re being robbed of your freedom. Unfortunately, with the Left, I think this is just the tip of the iceberg.

With all that being said, I think this should be treated like with most fungi, you need to shine a bright light on it, much like this show is doing.

You can be “woke” on the the Left/Progressive/Modern Liberal/Democratic Socialist (OXYMORON)/Statist/Marxist and lets NOT forget FakeNEWS but NEVER AWAKE.

It is not a problem for the government to fix. In fact, unplanned pregnancy is a problem that both women and men need to work hard to avoid, as though the trajectory of their lives was their own responsibility. In order to indulge the rebellious nature of the baby boomers, and facilitate them in destruction of the Judaeo-Christian moral code which serves as the foundation of society, all consequences for bad decisions had to be removed. You don’t find the concepts of self-reliance, accountability or independence in large numbers of youth. What if we said it wasn’t healthy to have sexuality shoved down our throats 24/7? What if we treated unplanned pregnancy with the same fervor we treat tobacco? What if we started acting as though moral fiber is like a muscle that must be exercised? If you don’t want the Judaeo-Christian moral code shoved down your throat, you must show that yours is functional and accountable, not dependent on burdening others financially, and you don’t get to murder the evidence of weak character. Do not drag the rape victim into this, the percentage is less than one percent: it’s a specious argument. What started out as a genocidal program was recognized later as the lynch pin in a plan to destroy America from within. August H. talks about the problems of dealing with un-aborted babies. Instead of providing outs for unintended pregnancies, lets provide incentives for NOT getting pregnant in the first place.

I have no argument with any of the comments to me in this thread. Some good points are made.
To step out of the academic type discussion and go for solutions? What can a person who is not looking for another baby because they already have one or two actually physically do? I do not see or hear of many who are willing to take another child. Why?

Well you all have made a note of the problem caused by elected officials passing laws that make it expensive, time consuming and allowing birth mothers to renege on their decision years later when they did not indicate that they would want to if things got better or they just changed their minds and no thought being given to the damage to the child or the adoptive parents.
If you have not heard or witnessed the many cases of this abuse, well what do you have to offer as a solution that you are willing to spend personal time, money, etc. on?
What change do you want? How is it going to be accomplished? How are you going to help?

I have asked myself these questions over my life time about many matters but I have tried to not just say. “It needs to change.” when all that is saying I have no idea but lest tear up what is and ……… What, trust the government to fix it? Really???
We are reaching no one with this discussion because we are just singing to ourselves.
The problem is too complex for there to be an easy, simple answer. So at this point in my life about all I can do is change me and vote.
About planned parenthood, I have no dog in that fight nor opinion on who started it or why. That is history. We should just learn from it but people don’t want to do that. They want to push an agenda disguised as religion, morality according to them or they know what is right for all people.

Nuff from me, you all be safe, happy & well in the days to come.

Hear! Hear! Scott, your closer linking planned parenthood abortion/eugenics to slavery/plantation was excellent.
Some of us feel the revulsion already, with others it’s going to take a while…

I think you guys missed the point. Planned Parenthood is not expunging Sanger from the public view because she was a filthy racist eugenicist. If that were the case they would have to admit that what they do is not only founded on filthy racist eugenics but continues a policy of filthy racist eugenics to this very day.

They’re trying to disconnect from Margaret Sanger, their founder. That would be like me advocating that the U.S. disconnect from and deny the Founding Fathers while still insisting the U.S. Constitution is the foundational law on which our nation was built. They’re doing this to HIDE the fact that she was a filthy racist eugenicist so that they can continue being baby murdering filthy racist eugenicists without all the baggage that should accompany such activity.

That is their entire purpose for historical revisionism and efforts to make Margaret Sanger an un-person.

Males making decisions on a women’s lives by not even trying to curb their own basic demand that in the world of life, sex is their most driving force in life.
Who will give a loving home, not a state supported orphanage, to children of rape, which only men can do that produces a child, unlike other forms of rape which are just, but if not more horrible for the victim? (male or female victims)
All other arguments aside, of which there are many & many are good one but who will, especially the males, be willing to give up all other things to TRY to support the soon to be unsupportable volume of human life?
Can we do that before we deplete our world just because males want sex above all other considerations? What choice would I have made at the age of 19 or 21?
One child and then neutered?
Who will really believe that with the world encompassing drive for life, mostly by a large percentage sexually that human will give up their sexuality voluntarily.
It is a much more complex problem than we are willing to discuss across the the board with of all humanity and all the different beliefs.

What is done in the USofA will not nor never be the solution to a world wide problem.
YMMV

No one is denying the desire for sex, by both males and females. It’s natural, and it’s also called procreation.
Planned parenthood and the free-wheeling 60’s was attempting to divorce the idea of baby-making from sex.
Males are not the only ones to blame. But abortion as a solution to the problem is only a dodging of responsibility for life.
Adoption is and always has been a viable alternative, it allows one to dodge responsibility w/o committing additional ‘sins’ of murder.
You ask ‘Who will give a loving home, not a state supported orphanage, to children of rape’. May I answer, there are plenty of families in the US that want, desire, crave, covet babies to raise as their own. Regardless of the circumstances of their conception. Regardless of the situation of the pregnancy (‘crack babies’).
I also disagree w/ your last statement ‘What is done in the USofA will not nor never be the solution to a world wide problem.’ USA has always been the shining city on the hill as Pres Reagan said, the beacon of morality. What we do in our country has ramifications in other countries, worldwide.
Lastly, what does YMMV mean?

Your comments about males seems like you’re absolving the female in the pair of responsibility. We’re not out raping all of these pregnant women, nor dragging them to bars nor poring alcohol down their throats till they’re drunk.
I’m told by several women that when done right, women like sex too and seek out partners attempting to find a good one, until they get tired of that one and go looking for another. Others just want a good stable guy, marry him and are happy. I’m not going to argue either path since that’s not really part of this.
You could argue that the responsibility falls too much on the female of the pair since the guy can lie about being impotent or “the first time doesn’t count” or some other bull, and walk away after the evening, but then I’d counter with the fact that if the gal doesn’t know who he is or how to find him if she finds she is pregnant 2 weeks later, she really shouldn’t be sharing a bed with him. The alternative is her father locks her in her room and screens the guys for her, while cleaning his shotgun. The woman really has the power in these situations and if she wants to toss aside responsibility for a quick bit of play that’s on her.
World wide… the option for abortion is no where near as long as it is here in the US and if we are “to to be more like Europe” as some pundits and politicians cry, we’d drop the window to 7-9 weeks, not 6 months.
As Grace pointed out, so many people are going overseas for children to adopt because there are so many problems with getting permission for children here and parents wanting their children back or other custody fights. There have been a few articles about parents willing to pay the medical costs for a woman to give birth and give up the child because it about balances out, dollar wise, with adoption fees.
As far as Margaret Sanger goes, stats show that more black than white babies are aborted, which makes more of a cultural question than a sex one.

Soylent Green is the perfect metaphor. PP is not only murdering the fetus but harvesting the organs often while the baby is still alive exiting the birth canal so they can charge top dollar for their “products”. It is no wonder to me that God seems to have taken the “hedge” away from around the USA when we engage in such an abominable practice: Nine eleven, Wuhan virus, stealing our intellectual property, manufacturing our pharmaceuticals and using slave labor (Uyghurs) supported by our huge corporations.

I agree with your sentiments but I upvoted your comment because I love your “last name”. I’m an ERB fan too, you should have called yourself “Deja Thoris”

How about a movement to fund putting up Margaret Sanger statues identifying her as the founder of PP, with her racist eugenicist opinions written on the plinth, as near as possible to the main customer entrance of every PP location in America?

When reality is considered optional, political correctness becomes disconnected from reality. Words then become detached from reality and become floating concepts. The meaning of which depends upon the emotional atmosphere of the moment but without any necessary connection to what was, what is, and what can be. What was considered politically correct becomes politically incorrect and the new ephemeral politically correct morphs ever more rapidly to what it isn’t.

Eventually everything becomes politically incorrect and politically correct at the same time and in the same way. Thereby making critical thinking and clear communication impossible. Even Louis Carol of Through the Looking Glass fame could not have thought humans could be so irrational. Yet this is where many of our demented thought leaders want us to try to be.

Reality is NOT optional and what is matters. That is if you want to stay alive and have a chance to thrive. If you don’t, all you have to do is nothing and you will soon cease to exist. If you are in a hurry, follow the madness of the day.
