AROUND THE HORN AND AROUND THE BEND

We’re all going to die in our sleep at age 102 surrounded by loving relatives. Anything short of that is something the government needs to fix, even if it crashes the economy.

We’re all going to die in our sleep at age 102 surrounded by loving relatives. Anything short of that is something the government needs to fix, even if it crashes the economy. That’s the thinking that has some people wearing two face masks while driving in the car…alone. And that’s just the beginning of the evidence that shows the Progressive Left has gone around the bend.

Regarding the left’s theory of equity … if you missed Andrew Klavan’s “The Real Resistance” video the other day, I strongly urge Bill, Scott, Steve, and all of you … to go remedy that. Especially about the last hour, starting at time maker 50:50 … where he talks about dystopias. (YouTube-le it).

He takes a good long time laying the groundwork, and then, BAM! he hits you with it.

In order for a dystopia to be “dystopian”, someone … there must be something awful being done to bring about the supposed “utopia” being portrayed. In order for that to happen, the reader/viewer has to have a … moral … position … from which he will be horrified at the thing(s) being done to bring about the utopia.

Without morals … the dystopia *is* utopia.

In order to bring one about, one must strip a society of its moral underpinnings.

And another thing to drive the point home – I forget who told me this. It might have been here, it might have been my friend Brian … “utopia” comes from Greek for “no place”. Think about that.

bah, they sank as low to advertise fake viagra now?
I unsubbed all DW channels around lasr December. Now looked at this segment, and reaffirmed my decision.
They have 5-10 minutes of ideas worth content(on a good day), and it is inflated to 6 hours. Filling the blanks with ballast or repetition. Even in this segment that had some interesting lead A just could not stand to not insert another run on abortion. (where no matter right or wrong, hearing it the 100th time?)
On the topic of utopia, sure, you need to create attachment in order to get a relevant response. That’s why Huxley’s BMW never worked on me, and I’m still baffled why people even classify it as utopia and relevant to humanity. It’s a fancy description of an ant farm. And moves me as much.
What counts as human: the body, the mind or the soul?
On the “happy being drugged” idea I suggest watching Interstate 60. It has that and plenty other interesting ideas.

Yeah, they use sensationalism and click-bait tactics. Those stopped working on me years ago.

I subscribed from the beginning specifically for Andrew Klavan. Don’t really watch much else.

Will do. There’s so much great content daily, it’s hard not to miss anything. Thanks for the reminder. We are winning. Look at any MSM comment section, Keep pushing.
God bless.

“Founded by geniuses, run by idiots.” Sheer brilliance. Used to be, the pitfalls of equity of outcome were easily grasped by most everyone through the simple phrase, “lowest common denominator.” Eliminating math class will be sure to take care of THAT. Leftists are oblivious to irony; you can’t erase American history while you’re reviving American anti-literacy laws.

I’m old enough to remember that we accepted affirmative action as long as it was equal opportunity not equal outcome.
Daily reminder. DEMOCRATS, not Republican, HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE PARTY OF RACISM IN THIS COUNTRY. The Democrats fought for slavery, founded the KKK (4 million at its height now less than 10,000), and passed all the Jim Crow laws and THERE WAS NO PARTY SWITCH. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a REPUBLICAN. The “party switch” is just a LIE that the FAKE NEWS and the lying Democrats tell. Robert Byrd didn’t repent until much, much later toward the end of his career. Only Sen. Strom Thurmond of South Carolina switched in 1964, and even then, he was hardly a staunch racist:

https://www.heritage.org/commentary/the-last-dixiecrat

“Mr. Crespino includes the 1964 and 1968 stories in his biography but argues that Thurmond’s party switch was racially inspired and served to reinforce the GOP’s “Southern strategy” of seeking only white votes. He writes that in his dozens of campaign speeches for Goldwater in 1964, Thurmond emphasized Goldwater’s vote against the Civil Rights Act earlier that year and predicted that, as president, Goldwater would salvage “the rights of the individual, the rights of the states.” ***But Mr. Crespino omits that, in the last week of the campaign, Goldwater and Thurmond stood side by side in Columbia, S.C., as the Republican candidate condemned segregation and declared that government must treat “all men as equal in the areas of law and civil order.” The speech was broadcast on 87 TV stations throughout the South.”**

Furthermore, Republicans are not just the party of Lincoln founded at least in part to fight slavery. Frederick Douglass was a Republican. Booker T. Washington was a Republican. The first black members of Congress from the South were Republicans…

Hiram Rhodes Revels (first black member of the Senate and served for the state of Mississippi) and Joseph Hayne Rainey (first black member of all of Congress and served South Carolina in the House of Representatives). You guessed it…BOTH REPUBLICANS. In fact, Rainey was born enslaved. Someone should have told him that the legacy of slavery was inescapable.

Then there’s Democrat hero FDR who killed anti-lynching legislation and interned Japanese-Americans during WWII despite the military saying it wasn’t necessary.

https://www.aier.org/article/how-fdr-killed-federal-anti-lynching-legislation/

Then there’s Beijing Biden working with Southern segregationist Dixiecrats like Sen. John Stennis and Sen. James Eastland (both from Mississippi) to preserve segregation and advance his own career.

Oh and let’s not forget one of my favorite quotes from a racist Democrat as reported by a black steward on Air Force One.

“I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for 200 years.”

* President LBJ in reference to welfare and the Great Society.

LBJ also said this…

“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”

Maybe someone with no knowledge of history or access to libraries or the Internet will believe their revisionist history…unless they wipe out history which they’d love to do. It’s about the only way they’ll convince anyone at this point to believe their propaganda.

If Democrats want to end “systemic racism,” which they can never define nor prove, they need to start with themselves. Stop defining everything by race to retain power. They have no other solutions, and that’s their problem. All the communists want to do is tear this country down. Even then, they’ll still be miserable and unsatisfied.

That was excellent. Thank you. As to your last paragraph, why should Dems start (or end) with themselves when it’s so much more satisfying to accuse others of the flaws they cannot fix in themselves? As for the commies, miserable and unsatisfied is their nature. What really dials their miserable and unsatisfied up to eleven though is the idea that somebody is content with their lot in life. Envy is the ultimate woke virtue don’tcha know?

Thank you for your compliment. You are very welcome. Tearing down these lies produced by the leftists and pushed now even by Biden is my way of serving my country. Many of us can’t pick up a rifle and join the armed forces, but we can sure serve by preserving this country and the opportunities it offers for future generations. I’ve written a number of these “templates” which I share in YouTube comment sections.

Back around 1990, the warning signs started, at least for me, with overhearing a conversation on campus. The group of blacks who self-segregated were talking about how whites were to blame for their current plight due to the legacy of slavery. I didn’t really pay it much attention at the time. Then political correctness. Then calling all Christians gay-hating bigots. Then finally Obammunist with his identity politics and “white privilege.”

You could see it all shaping up around 2016, which is why I was thrilled to see President Trump elected. God help us all should Hillary have won. People would still be calling us all crazy for saying the MSM was liberal and lying, brushing us off as partisans.

I never understood why people can’t be content to leave others alone. The only thing that makes sense to me is that without religion, they need their purpose to be imposing all of their intellectualism as the self-appointed experts on everyone else. Bill did a video fairly early on in the MB2A series which describes the mentality.

Thank you again for your appreciation, and thank you for your efforts.. I’m beginning to feel like mainstream America is finally seeing the left and the Democrats for who they are.

We will win and are winning. God bless!

P.S. Along with Bill and company, Glenn Beck, I believe, is at the forefront of thinking on where we’re headed. Here’s his latest contribution…

The left doesn’t want equality or even equity. They want destruction and revenge.

Thanks, Bill. for the Saturday surprise. You nailed it. I guess the question is what do we do about bigotry, identity politics, and racism of today’s left? We certainly can’t ignore it. (thanks David for laying it out for me – see his comment below).

Bill – this was all kinds of brilliant. I had sent the VA board of Ed story to Scott as a possible RA topic, but this was better.
Just this morning I had someone cross the street because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I could see by the look on her face she was scared of me and just passing me on the sidewalk was too much. That woman will never take her mask off.

Of course, if ripping off Steve is wrong I don’t want you & Scott to ever be right!

$250k/2M -> $0.125 that is 12 cents. The 2M is the number of people who signed the petition.

Well, that may be the actual number intended, but I was using a population number that is closer to the 55M that Bill mentioned at approximately 19:10.

Politically-speaking, looking backward in time:

Equity -> Diversity -> Affirmative Action -> Bigotry -> Identity Politics -> Racism …

… all tropes pulled from the same tyrannical pod.
