I have not been an Elon Musk “fan.” Until now. I always thought he was just another liberal crony capitalist, riding the green machine for his benefit and on our tax dollars. I now believe I was wrong. While I am not there yet, if I were to ever buy an electric car it would be a Tesla.

I track deaths per 100,000 pop in a handful of states, counties and cities. As of 05/17: CA 8, Santa Clara County 7, NY 145, NYC 182 [NY minus NYC = 112] and AZ 8 (as of 05/14). For comparison, in CA, auto, drug (opioid and all drug), and suicide death rates are: 10.5, 14.6 and 20.7, and 10.5, respectively. Aaargh!
I left California for Nevada in 1984 and never looked back. When Elon Musk said he might move his factory to Texas or Nevada, I cheered! We have his battery factory and would welcome whatever other companies he cared to bring.

This guy will never know how much this act has tipped the balance for the state and the country back towards reality. Now just a handful more will grow a pair like him and we’ll be chugging along.

Lorena Gonzalez is the face of the people. She represents them. She reflects the content of their character. When she says, “F*** Elon Musk”, every single constituent who voted her into office is guilty of saying the same thing! This country is filled with delusional people who have no ability to discern representatives of good character.
Moving to Texas is fine and all as long as they don’t bring their bad voting habits from California with them. This is what happened to my home state of Colorado turning it purple now as Steve Green has pointed out himself.

The guy can’t win, can he? Wall Street haters pummel him because he can’t produce fast enough for N/A consumption. Media and Government pummel him because he’s trying to get back to work. He can’t make enough cars for N/A, and in my travels to China in 2019 I was seeing more and more Teslas. The demand is there. So he ups the production of his Teslas in China for Chinese people to buy, and he gets grief for that? That’s not stopping his North American production at all, it’s just adding more cool electric cars to the planet.

I wonder if the government types realize that by NOT arresting Elon Musk for defying the “order” and opening his business they can not arrest ANYONE for doing the same. Selective enforcement and anyone arrested could easily sue.

I think everyone should remember the Lorena Gonzalez name and pass it along with the most vitriolic explanation of her deeds. Her time is over. And she should already have had her perception of power distinguished. Hopefully she’ll move. News here is SD is not making a big deal out of it at all. In fact, some are not even reporting it. Yet.
