Recently, Glenn Beck had Arthur Brooks from the American Enterprise Institute on his weekly podcast.
The guy struck me as this “middle of the road” centrist who likes to act all lofty because he’s so much more mature and moral than the rest of us… why? Because he believes in making nice with our politically divergent fellow humans.
… nevermind that they believe in literally enslaving one class of people to benefit another class of people.
… nevermind that these people literally believe in doing things that are morally repugnant, and downright evil…
OH NO! We must not denigrate them or disparage them, because “that has never changed anyone’s mind”, and “don’t you WANT there to be a healthy mix of ideas, and a robust debate?”
His logic doesn’t follow, and in this video I explain why.

Disparagement may not move individuals but it does move societies given enough time. As evidence see the last 50 years.
Your analogy falls apart when you understand that cancer cannot reason, nor can it weigh new evidence against the old.
Oh wow, sorry for the popping on the audio. It kinda goes away after a minute…
