I just realized it’s been a while since I posted part one of my manifesto, so this continues the idea of messaging, and is there anything we can learn from the left? I listen often to Scott Adams’s podcast and one thing he is an expert on is the topic of persuasion, and I’ve mirrored […]

Helllo and welcome to my humble corner of BillWhittle.com. I'm a computer professional by day and a video gamer, political/history junkie and unapologetic math nerd by night. As a highly OVER-educated former leftist, I know we can bring more people to the fold, in fact I believe it's our DUTY to do so. My leanings are best described as classic liberalism - generally conservative but a social progressive. I believe the leftward move of Democrats has in my view created a large hole in the political spectrum, that there are a lot of moderate and center-left voters who have been turned off by the Democrats yet still not ready to take the leap to conservatism (or so they think). We must widen the tent and make this transition easier; and can do so without compromising core beliefs. We can crush the far left once and for all, and reverse the march through the institutions. I just want to do my small part to help.
I’m getting tired of people comparing Dr. Tony Fauci to Dr. Josef Mengele. It’s an unfair comparison that just goes way to far. One of them was a sadistic “doctor” who subjected unwilling participants to brutal and horrific scientific experiments without any regard for their safety or well being. The other was a Nazi.
My take on student debt
This may be the subject of controversy, but I have to say I fully support the cancellation of student debt Now before you start attacking me about why someone should pay someone else’s debts, just hear me out, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Okay, calm now? It’ll all be good. Please read on… Of […]
This is the first of several posts which I hope to make in the future about observations I have as a former leftie (long ago) and newly minted Republican. My personal credo on “intra-party” political rhetoric is based on a line from Shakespeare’s Richard II where the title character was lamenting the imminent loss of […]
Now that the dust is settling…
I have placed myself in a self-imposed “media blackout” since before Christmas. I have stopped reading, watching, or listening to, any news source, blog, podcast, call in show of any political stripe temporarily, and have not done so in several weeks. I’m getting really tired of some of the comments I’m seeing from the conservative […]
Time to Prevent the Ways to Wail
” Wise men ne’er sit and wail their woes, But presently prevent the ways to wail.” – Shakespeare, “Richard II” Why do I start this post with a Shakespeare quote (Okay I admit I quote The Bard like a priest quotes the bible)? It’s appropriate when referring to a lot of conservative pundits whom I […]
I was thinking about Bill’s analogy with the rocket and the command module and dumping dead weight. I am accepting of anyone with any political beliefs, from the Bernie loving socialist to the Evangelical social conservatives. It’s always been the left who unfriends and stops communication with people they politically disagree with. But it occurs […]
Today I submitted my mail-in ballot at the ballot box. I’ve made calls for Donald Trump’s campaign. I’ve posted numerous videos on Youtube, though my feeble 25 subscribers isn’t likely to make much of a dent. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLhd92BXGhQr8_Q_KOiCdXuetmEvCrjvy Besides, I’m not typing all this up again! 🙂 Have I done everything I can do? Probably not. […]
Response to “Coach Cancel Culture”
Response to Right Angle: Coach Cancel Culture: Seahawks Pete Carroll Drills NFL Fans for Persistent Racism I was going to just leave a comment, but it was getting very long and thought a blog would be more appropriate. I’ve really struggled on and off with this issue for some time. I stopped watching the NFL […]
I’ve been thinking a lot about the election lately, and there’s something that still concerns me greatly regarding the polls and the election. Long story short: Polls are probably wrong, but laugh them off at your own risk. But I think there’s a gaping problem in the election strategy for Republicans and even Trump himself. […]
The Republican Party and Conservative movement have a big problem right now. I think that there are two areas in which they are lacking substantially: Making the common-sense case for conservative values and against socialism to the American voters, and not widening the tent enough to let in all of the disillusioned #Walkaway Democrats. Yes, […]
