I’ve Turned in my Final Exam, Waiting for the Grade

Today I submitted my mail-in ballot at the ballot box.

I’ve made calls for Donald Trump’s campaign.

I’ve posted numerous videos on Youtube, though my feeble 25 subscribers isn’t likely to make much of a dent. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLhd92BXGhQr8_Q_KOiCdXuetmEvCrjvy

Besides, I’m not typing all this up again! 🙂

Have I done everything I can do? Probably not. The phone calls were hard as I’m a very phone-shy person. 95% of them went to voice mail anyway. The few people I reached were definite Trump voters, so that’s good.

I’m cautiously optimistic, I believe Trump will win, we’ll keep the Senate and have at least a reasonable chance of re-taking the House. I’m calling 316-222 in the Electoral College, 52-48 in the Senate, and the House… it will be VERY close to 218-217 either way. If I had to guess, given the fundraising differences and the generic Congressional ballot polling to be about D+8… If it were D+6 or lower I’d say we definitely retake the House, but this makes me a bit uneasy, so to be realistic I say the GOP makes major gains but comes up just short. 219-216 Dem.

Not much left to do but wait and see. I feel good about this, especially the fact that Republican ballots are doing better than expected in early voting. That said, however, are these people who would have otherwise shown up at the polls? Given the negative stories about mail fraud I don’t think so. But if Trump is within 3-5 in the battlegrounds (in early voting) and finishes at least +2 in a state, he’s got that, there’s not enough fraudulent ballots to make up that gap. But who knows?

Here’s hoping for a very happy Wednesday!

Nice job! Making phone calls is not for the faint of heart. I organized county materials and walked precincts; I decided not to make calls this time. I may attend an overpass rally tomorrow ….

I’m anxious; Dems are clever fraudsters. I think President Trump will win handily; I think the senate will remain R (fingers crossed); I’d be thrilled to see Nancy Pelosi NOT be speaker!

“Have I done everything I can do? Probably not.”

It’s funny… I was watching some of the weekend shows yesterday like Watters World and the problem is they have all the Trump surrogates on and I couldn’t watch. Nothing against Pierson or Don Jr. but it was just Watters and the guest finishing each others’ sentences about how great the Trump Presidency is and how Biden’s so terrible and they’re confident Trump will win. Not that I disagree with any of that, but I felt they were just telling me what I want to hear and already know. If people like Glenn Beck or the opinion staff at WSJ predict a strong Trump victory, I’m more inclined to feel confident.
I’m confident of a Trump victory but must prepare myself for the worst, I had trouble watching Bill’s Stratosphere Lounge when he “practiced” a Trump loss speech. I’ll go to pro-Trump podcasts to cheer myself up again, but there has to be data to back up their predictions.

I’ll be voting in person on Tuesday even if I have to stand in a winter hurricane to do it.

I haven’t been following the poll numbers closely like you have, so my impression going into Election Day is that Trump will win both the electoral college and the popular vote, then the Dems will do everything they can, from lies to fraud to intimidation to bribery to riots to civil war to take it away from him. I’m prepared for those last two but there’s damn little I can do about the others. Whether those attempts will be successful or not, I have no idea.

I’m growing more and more anxious about what’s going to happen with every news item and opinion piece I read – not that there’s any real difference between them any more, on either side. I’m not taking everything I see literally but I’m trying to piece together trends and to read between the lines and adding up overt statements and claims with implications and the general sense of things.

I don’t see happiness and sunshine coming on November 4.

Trump winning is all the happiness and sunshine I need… the rest will take care of itself. I’d take a Trump victory followed by left-wing insanity any day over a Biden victory followed by… well, left-wing insanity. The civil war will get better in the long run but will get worse first no matter who wins. But at least with a Trump victory we’ll have the tools in place to fight it.

And I dropped off my mail-in ballot on Saturday. Here in Washington it’s been all mail-in for quite some time.
