Total death count in PA DROPS by 201!

Well the “data” from this covid-19 panic is not trustworthy at all. As can be seen from two links I will post below this paragraph. Yesterday the PA department of Health claimed there were 1,622 deaths from Covid-19 in the state and now 1,421 today. Funny how everyday they are reporting on the increase of […]

How things have changed…

One hundred and fourteen years ago In 1906 a serial killer was executed in Morocco. Hadj Mohammed Mesfewi was a shoemaker in Marrakesh. With the help of an old woman called Rahali he had drugged, murdered and mutilated a total of at least thirty-six young women. His execution was due to include crucifixion, as Islamic […]

Whatever Mr. Tfue Earns on YouTube, It’s Not Enough

At a time like this, there’s something oddly comforting about watching a man with a stick build a magnificent Roman bath style swimming pool in the jungle. Trust me on this one.

St George’s Day Greetings

St George’s Day greetings from a locked down England. Over the last few years, the day has been marked more and more by local authorities, pubs and local groups. Sadly, this year the various events celebrating our national day will simply not be happening. On the upside, maybe the focus on the CCP virus maybe […]

So, it was here earlier, so was that really the Flu you had?

I’ve never previously had the flu, but had been doing some work here recently this year after getting laid off in February at Vanderbilt. The 3rd week there, we got a new guy leading our team who was really sick at work. We kept our distance from each other and I made jokes about him […]

Our life during the shutdown:

My mom and  I go out in the desert searching for petrified  wood;  we went out to the Great Salt Lake  mud flats and dug up beautiful crystals; we drive to ghost towns; we will drive for 3 hours and hunt for fossils; we take care of our house and soon mom will be planting flowers.  My mom will be 81 years young in 2 months and is doing all this searching and hiking with my brother and I.

Saner-at-Home Jams II: Acoustic Boogaloo

It occurred to me that Scott has been having far to much fun curating musical selections for the memberdom, so I decided to steal his thunder inflict it upon back upon him in Lightning Round-like fashion by commandeering his series and presenting my own artisanally selected musical picks. For today, a little bit of Cash […]

Cui Bono

The title of this essay is Who Profits, in Latin. There is a conspiracy theory, that Covid-19 is a bioweapon created by the ChiComs, to take the USA down. Given the relatively low body count, I’m a bit skeptical. Was it legitimate research, or one too many pots of bat soup? We may never know. […]

Some thoughts on role playing

“All the world’s a stage. And all the men and women merely players.”  As You Like It, Act 2, Scene 7   Role play crops up in our lives in various guises. I’ve taken part in it (willingly and unwillingly) for fun, as part of my job and even at school. I’m not talking about […]

Stolen Valor @ Fort Salem

The television program Motherland: Fort Salem is another show in the continuing on slot from American Pop Culture to mainstream “alternate lifestyle” sexual orientation and Feminism into American culture. I personally, having served 20 years in the United States military (Navy), take offense to the premise and the production values presented in this show. Premise: […]
