UK government begins to re-implement protections for free speech to counter ‘cancel culture and wokerati’

Interesting. Can’t do here, unless governmental speech or institutions that get money from government (Many colleges and universities do. Let them choose. Ban censorship or lose the money.) Private industries can be biased. However, Facebook, Twitter, et al , need to choose. Publisher or carrier. Carrier can’t censor. Publishers can, but can be sued. Saw one idea I like. Declare both to be public utilities. Cant deny service unless not paid. Illegal use would dealt by law enforcement, not the company. That means Facebook and Twitter would have to be a paid service, not “free”. Wonder how many people would do thar? (Not me, Dont use either now.)
