So according to CNN, Parler is a threat to Democracy because it enables conservatives to reside in their own echo chambers, but yet they don’t mention anything about Twitter/Facebook going out of its way to censor conservatives. Because I guess that, in itself, is no threat to Democracy according to CNN.
What a joke.

Anything they can’t control is a “threat to democracy.”
I’ve often thought that in any argument with a rabid leftist, you should hold up a hand mirror to them so they see the hypocrisy and mouth-foaming stupidity for themselves.
I prefer to walk away from any argument with a rabid leftist, because nobody cannot rationalize with insanity. Attempting to do so will create insanity in oneself.
If I respond at all – which is almost never – it’s with just the kind of weasel-words they might use: “Hm. You might have a point there.”
Usually I say nothing and just watch them fume, for the lulz.
Don’t those clowns know that they are being laughed at by at least 75 million people? CNN is it’s own little echo chamber. Hence the name CLOWN NEWS NETWORK.
I’ve called it the Children’s Noise Network. Clowns are scary.
CNN=Communist News Network.

Excellent! Smithers, set me up an account on this Parlay doodad.
Seriously though, I’m on Parler to get away from censorship, not to get away from views I don’t hold. I genuinely want to see leftists/liberals who still cherrish freedom (and they do exist) as well as good old middle ground folk on there. Still, good of CNN to give Parler a boost.
It does seem to be growing and there are plenty of the usual suspects on there, including grifters and genuine loonies. As Ruth said, the block button is a must.
Only someone with an insecure ego who needs continual reassurance would be happy with an echo chamber.
I seek to find a forum where one can actually debate, but with civility and courtesy.
I appreciate someone pointing out a logical point I may have missed – as long as they can be equally prepared to concede if/when I have insight into something they may have missed.
Too often online, especially where only pseudonyms are used, exchange descends into “I’m right, & that’s that” or some kind of name calling, essentially!
We all benefit by a better level of discussion.
I especially find different people know and remember different parts of history, so I can learn from them.

Anyway, a long way round to say I find the Blocking function on Parler essential!

Sometimes I feel the weight of years and unshed tears.
Sometimes I look at night’s stars and can’t find my own.
Last year is yesterday in so many ways.
A distant yesterday is still near, but still the stars wheel,
not hearing, but singing in their cold high voices.
Sometimes the tears flow.
I was told by a friend that those lines sound like Pablo Neruda. I don’t know…
Yes, tears well up, and there’s no one to see them…
