Interesting how the press reports things.
Just imagine if The Donald were still in place as President. If it had been him attending the funeral of Her Late Majesty today. If he had insisted on using the massive “Beast” to get to Westminster Abbey, instead of the transport laid on for visiting heads of state. If using this behemoth caused him to get caught in traffic and led to him being late. Being late meant he had to stand around awkwardly while the procession of Victoria Cross and George Cross holders went past. If this had led to him effectively tagging on the end of the procession like a confused elderly relative. If this in turn led to the President of the United States of America being seated in the 14th row, behind the President of Poland…yeah, I think that would be front page news. Oh, the outrage there would have been on both sides of the Pond at the arrogance and disrespect. The wailing and gnashing of teeth. The View, would have a view, CNN would cry loudly how America had been humiliated by the President’s clumsy tardiness.
Well, it wasn’t Donald Trump at Westminster Abbey today, it was former Vice President and demented circus monkey Joe Biden, who nearly cattled the precise and carefully worked arrangements for the biggest and most intricate piece of state ceremonial we’ve seen since 1952.
