Nice! I’ve been a fan of Johnny’s post-Sex Pistols “P.I.L.” work (“Compact Disc”, “Happy?”, and “9” were early album acquisitions that got a lot of play in my world), always sensed some peculiar intelligence behind his oddly delivered lyrics, and have long wondered what further thinking might lie behind his art. Lots of classic insights among his songwriting that have become mental soundbytes that stuck with me. Conservatism is indeed far more “punk rock” than the submissive thinking on the other side of the aisle. Long may its rebellious spirit complicate the plans of aspiring central planners!
