Don’t Gloat About CNN Losing Money – Money Was Never Their Goal

It’s easy to fall into the trap of enjoying the schadenfreude from the misfortune of CNN. When you see that the most well-known avatar of Fake News is laying off employees and hemorrhaging funds it is easy to take this as a victory.

But be wary. The purpose of CNN–as well as the other peddlers of Fake News–is not to make money. These media establishments are just another arm of the Deep State and they are happy to pull support from one of their apparatus and transfer that to another, whether that be money, time, focus, or energy.

As the famous saying goes: “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” The Deep State operates under this philosophy as well, and when it can’t pretend it doesn’t exist it will pretend it is impotent. Making yourself seem harmless or incompetent to your enemy so they underestimate you is a tried and true strategy–subterfugenous German propaganda prior to World War One painted British and Americans this way leading to dire results when the Germans underestimated their opponents. In a similar way, the Deep State is letting the story of CNN’s failure dangle in front of us as a distraction to let us believe they are losing control when in fact they are clamping down on us harder than ever before in other areas. It is like being strangled by an octopus and thinking you are winning because one tentacle is loosening its grip while the other seven hold you even tighter.

The tighter grip I am referring to is a four-pronged attack that has accelerated greatly over the last two years: the growing censorship and deplatforming coming from Big Tech, the promotion and enforcement of far-left cultural beliefs through corporate power, and the denial of banking and payment processing services to Wrongthinkers, and the promotion of political violence against right-wing people and those who support them.

I don’t believe I need to convince anyone that these four things are happening; it’s not even subtle anymore, and it’s increasingly all out in the open. We are going to notice when Infowars is banned from all major social media patforms at almost the same time. We are going to notice when major companies from Gillette to EA Games are willing to lose money to push a far-left social commentary through their products and advertising. We are going to notice when major right-wing figures are not able to receive money from people who want to willingly donate to them, and the few remaining Free Speech platforms that would refrain from banning them on principal find themselves pulled from domain hosting and payment processing. We are going to notice when the media posts the names and addresses of donors to Faith Goldy’s mayoral campaign in Toronto in the hope that they are harassed and attacked, to name but one of many examples of this kind of activity.

Technology has changed greatly in the last two decades, and thus the way the Deep State maintains its grip on us has had to change. In the 80s and 90s Cable News was a mighty force for disseminating the party line; whether it be the far-left line of CNN or the controlled opposition phony conservatives that make up the majority of Fox News (the fact that an anomaly like Tucker Carlson still gets on the air is astounding and refreshing). However, the relevance of cable news is disappearing and will soon be gone completely, so they are more than happy to dangle this withered, decaying branch in front of you and say “Look! We’re falling apart! We’re harmless!”

So laugh about the plight of CNN or the New York Times if you want, but understand that this laughter is expected and accounted for by our enemies who are glad you are taking the bait and underestimating the true power and control that they wield. Never forget that we are in a battle for the very soul of our civilization, and they will do anything they can to deceive, confuse, and undermine you.

But I will end on a positive note: The actions taken by the Deep State over the last couple years show that they are terrified of us. They are aware that we are rising against them and becoming more and more overt in their efforts to suppress us. They understand that the good and decent common folk outnumber the corrupt masters many-fold, and the last thing they want is for us to fight against them as a unified front rather than against one-another as they have always tricked us into doing. We are fighting back and we will win, but only if we stay smart, stay nimble, stay unified, and never let up on them until any vestiges of their power are purged from the government, media, corporate world, NGOs, Non-Profits, entertainment, education, and the arts.

Good one Ian, you got it. I think of “Net Neutrality” which was pushed so hard in the spirit of “fairness” and everyone’s internet was going to quickly degrade to unusable without it? Any thoughts on Net Neutrality itself and the impact of repeal?
My instinct was Net Neutrality was a calming term that sets everyone at ease (like “Affordable Healthcare Act” or “Common sense gun control” or “Assault Weapon Ban” or “Hate Speech”) that is virtually never clearly defined, thus is open to interpretation, and WILL WITHOUT A DOUBT become something way bigger, intrusive and more insidious.

I, for one, have not been negatively impacted by the repeal of Net Neutrality. In fact, my monthly bill is cheaper than it was without any blocked sites whatsoever.
