Fraying THREADS

Looks like the ‘Twitter-killer’ is dying fast!

Two weeks after an apparently spectacular launch, Mark Zuckerberg’s new social media platform seems to have stalled hard and is heading the same way as the Facebook CEO’s ‘Meta’ project… meaning…uh… a ‘toilet-wise’ direction. Steve Green has the skinny.

I had not heard of several of the Twitter alternatives that were mentioned.
I take that as a source of pride.
Left Twitter years ago as it was awful. My opinion of most social networks has not improved.

Threads is only available as a mobile app on Apple and Android (and I’m a little surprised it’s available on Android). Not being able to run it on a browser on a large screen is a show-stopper for me if I were inclined to use Zuck’s new network, which I’m not.

The sweet spot for the Threads market are leftists in the profession formerly known as journalism who hate free speech. And yes, I know that Twitter is still far from perfect.
But as for Threads, I can honestly say I have not felt a single ounce of interest in checking it out. Maybe it can be a new home for all of the pedos and BLAMtifas who get kicked out of Mastadon
