Just days before results come in from Nevada, South Carolina and the Super Tuesday states, Bernie Sanders has taken the reins from Joe Biden, and only Michael Bloomberg stands in his way. Las Vegas odds makers have Bernie and Bloomberg at #1 and #2 favorites to get the nomination. Democrat insiders see electoral doom in socialist Sanders, but can’t stop him unless other candidates drop out of the race. Gambling on the White House shows the party in disarray, or a party in name only.

I don’t think Bloomberg is going to be any kind of a threat. 1) He’s the Dem version of Trump and that’s enough for the left to avoid him like the plague and 2) recently released clips demonstrate what a douche he really is. He won’t pass “metoo” muster. Biden is washed up. He can run off with Pelosi to the old folks home. Buttigieg can’t garner enough minority votes, so I don’t think we’ll be seeing him much longer. I think Bernie is it, but we’ll see what happens at convention.
Oh, please, please, please let one of them run as an independent! Nothing could more definitively cement Trump’s re-election. (Cf. 1992 when Ross Perot ran, thereby ensuring Bush 41’s defeat.)
If Joe doesn’t win handily in SC, he’s done. It’ll just take longer. But then what the hell do I know. I thought Kamala was gonna be the one to beat. *shrug*
I thought she would be the one, too. She checked so many boxes. Except for being able to campaign outside CA where.
That was at the one box I completely forgot to take into account. But I really figured the Dems would go Harris/Beto this year. Young, diverse, exciting, first woman President of Color. And Beto could, in theory, put TX in play.
Socialism by a non productive parasite or an ultra rich power and control wannabe master of the universe will be equally bad in implementation and outcome. The end result will be as with all totalitarian collectivist ideas: despair, poverty, destruction, and death. With rivers of blood and mountains of dead bodies as far as the eye can see.
It is all based upon the superficial false premise that the productive and their product can be consumed and that production will continue without them. Their covert motivation is to destroy the good BECAUSE it is good. Destruction will be their final result. It is inescapable because reality is real and does not follow their whims and wishes no matter how unified they are.
