Good news for a change, on a personal note.

Thought some good news would be welcome.

First some background. I got my two covid (and no more) back before the problems were generally known  (2020) 1. had to to keep my job.  2. In high risk group at the time. 65 years old. High blood pressure. Overweight. Nearly diabetic. (less so now. A1C at 6.3 last time and losing weight.)

No reaction other than typical flu shot.

Now my wife Donna: under 65, but way overweight, on blood pressure medicine, closer to diabetic and susceptible to pneumonia.

One shot put her into acute renal failure. Reported to CDC. 3 weeks in hospital. 6 weeks on dialysis.  Another shot will kill her according to 2 doctors.

Kidneys have been improving.

Now up to 100% function!

The doctor says he will have the function checked once a month for 3 months, she probably be able to go back on anti inflammatorys if it stays at 100%.  Just had knee replacement surgery about 5 weeks ago and has arthritis and a herniated disk in her back.

The irony is that the kidney was inflamed due to the shot, but anti inflammatoryes are hard on the kidneys and should not be used.

Steroids could be, but not often, so she has been in a lot of pain, despite pain relievers.

This could stop soon!😃🎉

That news made my day. Thanks for sharing that Harry, I’m very happy that things are looking up for you two. We’re all too old to have to be unnecessarily miserable to boot.

Prayer has real power, don’t ever think it doesn’t. My Mom prayed for me fervently the whole time I was overseas and/or engaged in hazardous duties. I lived through things I rightfully should not have and I credit my Mom, her prayers and God for that.

I never expected to live this long and had I known I might have taken better care of myself 😉

That’s fantastic news Harry! Will keep you both in my prayers. Sincere best wishes for a continued recovery for your wife and path toward general healthiness for you both.

Take care of yourselves and God bless!
