Read the article HERE. Having watched enough Mars documentaries over the years this is my conclusion too. Mars has no magnetic field to put up a barrier against cosmic radiation, and humans just cannot do partial gravity for long durations without serious health problems.
The article also raises the question of childbirth in partial gravity, and it’s clear it would cause problems for the pregnant mother but probably terrible problems for the fetus. Like all the other bodies in the solar system – apart from robots – Mars is only for tourists, scientists, and miners. And those had all better live in artificial near-Earth gravity for as much of the time as possible.

Shhh… don’t tell the lefties.
Do we know about low gravity environments? Microgravity causes problems but how much gravity does your body need? We could test that with a moon base, half the gravity of Mars but it might still provide useful information. You’d have faster and easier supply or evacuation and you might be able to use the recently discovered caves for radiation shielding.
I’d imagine you need a whole lot more than .375 Earth gravity to mitigate problems. My guess would be anything less than 5/6 Earth gravity is highly undesirable in the long term, and especially for childbirth and growing children
