I’m back too!

Reading some of the other blog posts, it sounds like I’m not the only one who was a member before and decided to come back! Felt like Bill was talking directly to me when he was fired up about people watching this content for free lol.. At one point I thought he was going to say my name….. (Sorry about that Bill, Scott and Steve). 

I’ve very excited that Firewall is back… 

I’ve been fighting the social media fight for a long time (I’ll get more in depth on that in a future post) and Bill Whittle has armed me for much of my fight. I’ve “Whittled” (pun intended) down my list of trusted sources over the years to probably single digits. Maybe 10.. To do that, I regularly check the people that I follow, read, and listen to, to make sure my argument is foolproof. I’ve “fact checked” Bill’s content on dozens of occasions over the years to make sure I wasn’t sharing or posting something that would make me or my side of the argument lose credibility. Shared and debated with his content thousands of times and have never found something questionable. Something without context, something that put me in a losing debate, or something that a leftist could point to as inaccurate. 

I often tell this short story as an example. I was a long time Bill O’reilly guy. For the first several of my adult years he seemed like a trusted source to me. Bought all the merch, coffee mugs, hats, stickers you name it. Read all the books including his fiction stuff etc. Long story short, one time on his show (this is probably 15 plus years ago now) he said something purposely inaccurate about guns. I knew what he was trying to do, and I knew that he knew it was inaccurate. And that moment I now refer to as the time that I divorced Bill O’reilly lol. Never once watched or listened to him again. Still haven’t to this day. 

I’ve (obviously) never had that experience with anything Bill’s done. And for that, I can not possibly thank you enough Bill. There are a lot of us foot soldiers on the ground (the great keyboard warriors as Trump tweeted about one time lol) doing our best to promote this belief system. To do away with the stigma that being a Republican used to be. To show the world that our belief system is by far the most inclusive, the most rewarding, and the best way to ensure a life worth living for our children.

Bill, not sure if you read these but if so, you’ve done more than you could possibly ever know to help us. Sorry it took me so long to get back here.. I owe you more than this membership and I’ll work on correcting that.
