If you have ever seen one (or all) of the Sylvester Stallone, Rocky movies, you are familiar with this scenario:
At some point in the movie, usually during the final fight scene where Rocky is getting the snot beat out of him. Bloody mouth, one eye swollen shut, the other eye closing, body racked with exhausting pain. With Rocky on one knee, we hear the infamous “gong,” and we all know what that means…Rocky has had enough. He reaches deep inside himself and taps that here-to-fore, hidden resource and turns the worm.
With all the drama, chaos and back-biting going on the Democratic Party, when they are clearly on the ropes, I wonder who Nancy and Chuck have planned to thrust into the presidential ring when the gong sounds? Their timing will be extremely critical.
I can see it now…the Democratic convention.
Trump will have a strong, polling lead clearly indicating he will be reelected. The drama, chaos and back-biting will have continued for two entire days. Blood smearing the convention floor. Near the end of the third day, when all seems lost…you guessed it…GONG! They introduce their humble, grass-roots savior to the frenzied delegates. At this moment, the Democratic Party believes they have “snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.”
Oh, the magical-world of Hollywood.

My first thought when I heard he was running:
This is the guy who spent millions last time to get Hilary elected. Spent millions on the mid-terms, spent millions on promoting impeachment. And he has decided that rather than support one of the 20+ existing candidates, he is going to spend his millions on himself running.
Doesn’t that SCREAM that he thinks the 20+ can’t beat Trump. If he thought one could, he would be throwing his support behind that person. Instead he is going to run himself.
I think this speaks volumes about what Dem Donors think of those running.

The Dems need to run a Unicorn. Anything less will not do.
That the people that voted for Trump are embarrassed by him in any way is a myth perpetrated daily by the lame street media.
Unless the Republicans get serious about countering the Leftest Democrat message of being the champion of the poor and minorities, assuming Trump wins re-election, he may be the last Republican president for a very long time. Conservatives are just being immigrated into the minority and soon there won’t be enough red states left to win an election.
The damage from immigration is done. Our only choice now is to convert minority voters. It can be done, but compared to the Democrats the Republicans are incompetent at political organization at the community level and if this doesn’t change, sooner or later the game will be over.
Not only are “the Republicans incompetent at political organization at the community level” but they are totally inept at messaging. I guess because they are so used to being harassed and dissed by the Left, they don’t speak up boldly or clearly and often back down immediately and apologize. So pathetic!
Yes. The Republicans bring the old phrase to mind: To be one’s own worst enemy.
Sadly there are probably still many, many Democrats like my Mother In Law was and just vote Democrat without even knowing who they are voting for or what they stand for. (and this doesn’t just go for Democrats, there are Republicans like this too)
The Democrats could always have the president of one type and the vice president of the other…. And then lose both types.
