LOL I now have a higher opinion of Steve!! He drives a diesel and doesn’t like soccer!! LOL The modern diesel my be cleaner burning than some gas engines. They use DEF(urea) and have a particulate filter. I confess I don’t really know how it works. But the inside of their exhaust pipes still look brand new even after several thousand miles.
Can’t you turn the volume up? I listen to a lot if content, yours is the only one I have trouble hearing.
For a while we offended the people who didn’t want the volume to suddenly blast from their speakers, then we switched to offending those who didn’t want it to start quietly. Now, despite the existence of a volume adjustment slider on the lower left side of every video, we’re going back to offending those who don’t like it loud. Starting with our next video, the volume default is set to 75%. After that, I suppose we’ll go to 50% so everyone can be offended. 🙂
Or you can turn everything up to 11 and be a rock star.
Epstein is taking hundreds down. There are big lists of people that have attended his activities. 6 of the most famous atheists in the world. All the British male royals bar two, Charles and Philip, who were too busy being green. Half the DNC. Some Rinos that quietly dropped out of congress in 2018. Key people from Disney, victories secrets, etc. Several state attorney’s, prosecutors, judges, guess which states? All on the flight logs and the pilots have been keeping the records to cover their ‘assets’.
No Australians?!? We Aussies are suspicious and are checking islands down under for clues. A remote out back resort is a second option.
Euro nick names are all seem to be derived preexisting nick names. But there is an exception.
The German Teuro is a play on the word teuer, meaning ‘expensive’. When the Deutschmark had double the value in the market yet the official exchanges had the Euro an almost doubled the value.
What! No comments about the elephant in the room?! Well, if Scott doesn’t mention it, better play safe and not comment…
I’ve been to women’s pro softball, basketball, and soccer. They don’t sell the same “gate” nor concessions that the men do. It’s not “same game” so its not “same job” so its not “same pay”. Women’s gymnastics and Ice Skating on the other hand, well worth the admission AND Television coverage.
My brother had one of the VW diesel that had to be “bought” back. He held out for as long as he could. Was getting 600 miles per tank. Emissions should be looked at on a gallon per mile basis, not g/cc^3 or what ever they look at out the tail pipe.
Best membership I’ve ever purchased
Don’t forget Bill, it isn’t about equal opportunity, it’s about equal outcome. 😉
Would love to see a WNBA team play the college men’s champs.
Full disclosure. I am 5′ 9″. In college I weighed 170. A bunch of eng guys liked to play BBall. We went to the gym often. I could shoot, not much else. Played with the guys on the men’s team occasionally. Got embarrassed a lot. Played against the girls team frequently. None of us was good enough to play even D-III. But it was very competitive. People’s bodies are different. Women’s bodies evolved for one thing, men’s for another. It just is. It is not any type of ism to point out obvious facts.
Scott – given the average person’s intellect, you may have to change the name of Lightning Round to The 5 Stupidest Stories on the Internet today, and why they matter more than you think.
Or for the last LR – The tragic results of combining Human and Monkey brain cells, the untold story.
Those might get clicks, not the preferred audience (I hope)
…and you won’t believe what they look like now.
Several years back at work here in SW Virginia, we were in our conference room with some visitors from Japan. We experienced a 5.5 or so. The metal roof of the building started shaking. The company Pres and I (both engineers) thought our AC had an issue. Our visitors looked at each other, said Hmm, earthquake, and went back to work like it was nothing. They said they don’t get excited until it hits 7+.
Pretty interesting to watch their (lack of) reaction.
Please get the video editing guy to turn the gain up on the audio a little.. Just have him compare what he’s doing to pretty much *anyone* else producing youtube videos. It has been maybe 3 months or so since any of my mobile devices with or without a bluetooth speaker were of much use trying to hear what you folks are saying. I either have to use a PC or I have to plug in headphones.
The default volume at the bottom of the player has been set fairly low due to multiple requests from other members so as not to blow their ears out. It is approximately 20% I think. Needs to be increased manually.
I, for one, appreciate the reasonable starting volume.
In chrome on android pi, I have zero way to control the volume in the player via graphical interface. The audio slider is disabled and can only mute or unmute. This isn’t true for all websites or players that function in chrome, but certainly the case at billwhittle.
I am, however, led to believe that if I edit some settings in chrome and learn the language its created from and edit several of chromes files, I can then manipulate the volume… and If I get it wrong, go back and set the files to defaults and try rewriting a bunch of values again and again and again and again until the volume fairy decides I’m worthy and that will last until the very next video that has a different gain in which case I’d have to go back in and edit files until I get it right for that file and then try to remember all the stuff that needs edited to watch billwhittle….
Nope. I’m not doing any of that.
I wrote a blog post with lots of extra information, but it mysteriously disappeared… and now seems to have just as mysteriously re-appeared. My conclusion is that if there isn’t a solution to this problem that fixes it for me while also not breaking it for others, I have to go.
I like the people. I like the shows. I like billwhittle.com. I followed them over from PJMedia and have been happy to contribute ever since. It does boil down to the fact I’m not going to pay for content I can’t consume, however. I’m sad to go, but it appears to be the simplest solution to reducing my aggravation.
Speaking of aggravation, they’ve made it impossible to manually close my account. Clicking the required button to do so results in an invalid parameters error with a link that says if you’re having trouble send them a note. Clicking the link to send a note results in a 404 page not found.
So, I guess I have to ask my banker to refuse transactions from billwhittle dot com or ask for a new debit card with new numbers and cancel the current card.
When their membership grows enough that this problem affects 20, 30, 50, 100, 1000 members (and it certainly will) and they decide to fix it, I hope they give me a call so I can come back to a working format.
Scott was being reasonable and fair when he was discussing the soccer issue. Bill wasn’t having any of that, though. His reaction was much more visceral. I’m looking forward to the Firewall. Bill Unleashed! WOOT!
If Scott had pushed a little, maybe they would have broken 30 minutes at least. Tsk. These short form efforts, gosh I just don’t know.
Maybe they need some Geritol?
Maybe the great triumvirate of you, me and Brother Bob can start another movement.
BackStage episodes should always be 30 minutes or more! 😀
I had to turn of the notifications for this site.
I have a bad habit of perusing the page after work hours on my school computer, then forget to log out. The next day I’m teaching something on the SmartBoard (basically a large interactive projection screen), and little notifications would pop up. It didn’t make any difference to the kids, but the othr adults in the room would raise an eyebrow.
SABO was also livestreaming when the earthquake hit. It’s fascinating to see it occur in real time.
Bill, it’s worse in tennis. Wimbledon pays the men and women the same prize money, but the women play the best two out of three sets while the men play the best three out of five sets. Equal pay for disequal work.
And if you really look at the math of viewership over the length of the match it is even worse since a majority of women’s matches end up being only 2 sets. There are many fewer opportunities for commercials. So even if 50% more people were watching the women, they get exposed to many less ads. The revenue taken in is therefore much less.
Bill, Ali Kreiger of the U.S. women’s soccer team said that the U.S. had the best and second best teams in the world (meaning the backup players). I agree with you, since the team represents the U.S., we don’t need America-haters like Megan Rapinoe on the squad, particularly if we are as good as Kreiger says. I’d rather lose with patriots than win with the likes of Rapinoe.
Scott, not sure but I think your math is flawed if you think that the 5% and 2% correlate to mean anything. 2% of a – supposed – finite amount, would not then mean that the other 98% of global warming alarmist carbon is caused due to the non-flying activity of the other 95% of people. It also doesn’t correlate that those flying 5% don’t contribute their (un)fair share in other ways. I think it’s magical math from the usual suspects, trying to make their anti-civilization arguments.
I read this comment three times. My head hurts.
I wrote in the obfuscatory style specifically designed to garner that reaction…
whatever the soccer girls name is doesn’t speak for American women! I am also sick and tired of these people disrespecting our country. I’d love for the focus to be on O’hare, the one who picked up the flag and waved it!! I wish we could take all the America haters and put them in a socialist country and let them learn the hard way that America is the greatest country in the world.
I love how they have an accidental Bill Whittle Now session there in the middle over the women’s soccer team… 😀
I love when they go off the rails. Every once in a while they’ll go 40 minutes or so. Great stuff.
Gentlemen, may I suggest “Artisan Lightening Round”? The adjective begs the question: What’s that? I better look. And Steve’s use of carefully selected artisan headlines has always made me laugh.
In Germany, the Euro is called “teuro” because “teuer” means expensive — and most things in Germany are on the teuro-side

On a prorated basis the women’s soccer team was over paid.
People think I have nothing to hide and for now, perhaps that is true.
If the Socialist get control of this country, they will use all this new technology to control us all and Orwell’s 1984 will be our reality.
Only a Liberal Progressive could continue to take action on climate change that was never more than junk science to begin with and since has been thoroughly debunked. It is about money and power so facts don’t matter and they in truth could give a damn about the environment. The divide between the words and the actions of these climate nazis is enormous.
Headlinesfor lightning rounds should tease about the “worst” headline in the bunch..
Diesel = Rolling coal baby. On serious note most anyone who is familiar with generating power and torque for competitive motor sports with the internal combustion engine will have an opinion on diesel power.
AND ANOTHER THING!
I lived through something like 5 earthquakes when I was in LA. Not counting the little ones that felt like big trucks driving by. And I’m here to tell you, I prefer them to the 4′ rattler that I found living in my back yard, and here’s the important part, w/ my dog, for who knows how long.
I just returned to Eureka, CA from a weekend visit to San Francisco when the Loma Prieta quake knocked out the Embarcadero and the World Series. A couple years later I was on another weekend trip to SF when the Humboldt County quake knocked over all my stuff back in Eureka.
Hang out with me, man — I’m an earthquake repellent.
I got to play in the Whittier quake, the Pasadena quake, the Medium One in ’92(?), that one centered in Josua Tree in 2000ish and there was a pretty big one in, like 2007. Never really bothered me and you’d pay money at amusement parks for rides like that in TX.
Scott, are you working/thinking of making the videos on this site link to BitChute rather than Youtube?
They’re entitled to more monies than men when they can put more butts in seats than than the men…
What Scott, said.
Athletes’ business is entertainment. Their pay should be based on what they raise via tickets/merchandise. Their attitudes suck, tho.
Facial recognition without permission. 1984, just 35 years late.
Was not born w/ the sports gene, so don’t care. Only care about football at all cause I grew up in TX. But women’s pro kicky-ball? “Don’t care, don’t care, oh god, don’t care.”
I think it would be huge if we could put away the billionaire AND all the public figures that seem to have availed themselves of the billionaire’s “services”.
After seeing the flight logs and the screenshot of the closed circuit cameras on that island, as well as the temple and the figures on that temple, I believe I now know what true evil looks like. I noticed that Barr did NOT recuse himself from the SDNY case, so they know he’s watching them like a hawk. Epstein had three passports and multiple planes and loads of vehicles, so they considered him a flight risk, as well they should. I would have him in a safe house underground, eating MREs and drinking bottled water, clothed in a bulletproof vest, because you can bet some very powerful people are now gunning for him for real.
I’m beginning think that cops, especially at the Federal level, are even lazier than Hollywood marketing departments. And they will cheerfully abridge any guaranteed right if it’ll make their job a little easier.
I’d actually borrow good money to own an electric hearse that plays The Munsters.
Plenty of room in a hearse to include battery banks. Its one of the easiest vehicles to convert. Only makes short trips and spends a lot of time in the car port or garage. electric cars are getting cheaper and easier to do. electric farm trucks is the ultimate challenge. Yet that’s working now. The green reasons are rubbish but the tech is not.
And the patent on zinc air and aluminium air reel to reel batteries is expiring soon. No one wanted to pay that inventor money because he was an american Libyan who had said the wrong things about the industry and the greens. Then went to to a muslim county and ran fowl of sharia law. He’s a good guy.
