“Is It Time for TV to Die?”

I hosted The Catholic Current 020422.  Here’s audio & notes.  I ask the question,

“Is It Time for TV to Die?”

Yep, I remember the only three channels until after midnight. Then after the National Anthem if we fell asleep, the TV went straight to Conelrad and woke us up. I myself haven’t had any cable or satellite TV for over 11 years and never looked back.
Back then you would see commercials’ for “train to be a truck driver”, “go to tech school”, join the military” and I took the “North American Schools of Motorcycle Repair” both correspondence and hands on training classes.
Fast forward to now, you see “you may need (insert any drug here) to feel better” “look better” “lose weight” and “sue anybody for anything”.
And don’t get me started on the far-left cartoons, Trump bashing sesame street, and any shows at any time of the day or night with the nudity, foul language, and downright rude content.
Great show sir!

Dear Barb–Thanks for taking the time to share such a thoughtful reply. You’re right about the change in commercials. That’s a point that I overlooked. I hope that you will continue to find The Catholic Current to be worth your time.

Yes, I do and I’m a fellow Catholic as well. I thought I saw or read something about signing up for an email? or newsletter? somewhere on the site? But when I looked again, I didn’t see it. I may have been on a different site. I have yours save in my favorites now though so I can go there when ever I want.
