This 10-minute video analyzes results from several trials of various treatments for SARS-CoV-2. Basically, nothing works except Ivermectin, which works at all stages of the disease and prophylactically.
Ivermectin requires a prescription in the U.S., but it is in reality quite easy to obtain. (For example, from Indian online pharmacies.) It is both cheap and safe. It is also a wide-spectrum antiviral drug that is to viruses what antibiotics are to bacteria. (Something we didn’t really know before this year.) I have been taking a low dose twice a week since last spring.

I have seen stories about this. I have asked several people that have had SARS-CoV-2 and, thus far, no one has received anything other than recommendations for acetaminophen, ibuprofen or similar. I do not understand the reluctance of doctors prescribing something that, on balance, might help.
My doctor prescribed it for me; however, one problem is that it seems to be currently not possible to get it as a generic in the U.S., and the brand names are expensive.
The price might come down when President Trump’s drug pricing plan goes into effect (in January?).
In the meantime, it’s available without a prescription from Indian online pharmacies for thirty cents per pill. It’s also readily available at retail here in the U.S. but I’ll reserve those details in case there’s a drug cop spy in our midst. 🙂
I would note also that while it hasn’t received much press attention, doctors do talk to each other and I suspect (though I don’t know) that people in hospitals are getting it prescribed.
