Jesus the Never-Trumper: Mayor Pete Declares God’s Political Preference

Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a leading Democratic candidate for president and professing Christian, usually declares: “God has no political party.” Yet recently he told NBC News that God’s political preference would NOT be the Republican Party in the Trump era. He also had harsh innuendo about Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith. What does this say about Mayor Pete’s character, his theology and his prospects as a 2020 presidential candidate?

I suppose he would have preferred the pure and unadulterated psychotic liar that ran against the current administration, who, like her peers in the House, support the murder of babies even after birth in order to show their kind benevolence…

It’s true that Jesus said to help the needy. But He said you do it voluntarily. He never said to have government do it or the force others to do so.
When the rich man came to Jesus and asked how to get into heaven, Jesus told him to sell his stuff and give to the poor. The refused because he liked is stuff too much. Jesus did not chase him down and force him to give. It must be voluntary.

Once again, Democrats are masters of moral equocation. First, they’ll say God doesn’t belong to a Political party. Then they’ll fein God is amoral because political parties are amoral. Nothing could be further from the truth. Actually, God does belong to a party; the party of righteousness. After all, he made the law. The DNC has been the party of evil since before Roe v. Wade. When the DNC plank “safe, legal and rare” was unveiled, the DNC should have imploded. But it didn’t. That’s because every last person with a (D) written on their hearts is cursed with “strong delusion”. This delusion was inflicted by Yahweh himself, because II Thessalonians 2:11 says it in plain language. A person cursed by God is incapable of extricating themselves from the curse. Only the Holy Spirit can rescue anyone belonging to that party. So using religion as a cudgel will unite the deluded D’s more than anything else because anyone belonging to the party of evil is blind. And he’ll win because D’s outnumber R’s.

Dear Mr Webmaster,
There are times when I click on the “Read More” link on the comments, and nothing happens, the rest of the comment does not appear. Other times it does take effect.
Are you playing around again, and can you set this in its proper mode?
Thanks!

I was “playing around” earlier, but not lately. I just tested the Read More feature on my cheap, Amazon tablet, and it worked. Let me know if you experience this again. Please use the Bug/Idea report function under FAQ in the top menu so I can track resolution. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for letting me know.

Sometimes nothing happens when I click a green thumbs up. It does seem to show up later, though

Worked for me just now. Tested it on your comment. In my head I mimic fonzie when I press a thumbs up. I am odd.

Meant to tell you, Scott. The feature where the Post Comment buttons turns green is fabulous. I really appreciate it, especially when on my phone like this morning. Thanks.

I have had this happen as well, and the only thing that sometimes seems to work is logging out, closing browser and reopen+log back in.

The same result might happen with a clear cache refresh of your browser.
Windows: Cntrl-F5
Mac: Shift-Command-R

I think Scott is spot on about Mayor Pete. I suspect the mayor harbors a great deal more malevolence than he has yet revealed publicly.

You guys nailed it. Scott, your comments really summed up my feelings. Who is this clean, well spoken, articulate, oppressed gay guy really?

Reminds me of a candidate in 2008 who came on stage well dressed, well spoken, black and sounded like the guy who was going to take America to the next level (heal racial divides, hope and change, fix everything that is wrong with America and the world, etc).

I think people ignored the facts because their feelings were so strong. Facts like Reverend Wright, Saul Alinsky, community organizer, no college records released, no birth certificate, Chum gang, conflicting information on SSN, conflicting information on student loans, president of Harvard Law Review with no briefs, comments like “Republicans can sit in the back of the bus” etc etc. The result is history.

I don’t know how many people are going to remember, and of those how many are going to shy away from the empty “project your image on me” blank canvas of the 2008 election winner, but there may be some. There will certainly be some people that vote for the guy just because he’s gay (or at least claim to vote for, and vocally support him for that reason).

The one thing not mentioned which some Christians will have in mind is that the list of things Mayor Pete is saying people should do: be kind, be humble, visit the prisoner, welcome the stranger, etc, are things for people, not governments. This always comes up when the comparison of foreign aid per capita is used to make the USA look bad compared to other nations. As a population, we give more than any other per capita but ours is broken far more by private and public aid rather that mostly public aid as other nations do. We’d have less welfare fraud if people relied on their neighbor instead of bean counter 5 states away.

He’s right – God does not have a political party, but He is most definitely political. That said, Mayor Pete has obviously not been taught the following scriptures at his church:

Regarding Trump:
“And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.”
~ Daniel 2:21
So yes, God placed Trump. I believe He did this to stop globalization for now. It’s not yet His timing.

Regarding borders:
“You have set all the borders of the earth;
You have made summer and winter.”
~ Psalm 74:17
So yes, we need to protect our borders. God established them and to let them be overrun is an insult to Him.

Regarding the Unborn
“If men [a]fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that [b]she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.”
~ Exodus 21:22-25
If we followed this law as written, there’d be a lot of dead abortionists.

Homosexuality, Worshipping the Earth, et al
“Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature [earth] rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their [i]women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the [j]men, leaving the natural use of the [k]woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, [l]sexual immorality, wickedness, [m]covetousness, [n]maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 [o]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, [p]unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
~Romans 1:24-32
Ring any bells?

I’m sorry to sound preachy, but I get so tired of these so-called Democrat Christians claiming faith in God but don’t have clue one as to what God has to say. Globalization is indeed coming, but only when He decides its time.

For those that are interested, the first part of the video below provides some insight on what the Bible has to say about globalization.

Mayor Pete’s faux-religion will not hurt him with The Radical Left. They love it when one of their own bills himself as a champion over something they hate. Two examples are Colin Kaepernick becoming their face of the NFL or John Kerry “reporting for duty” back in 2004.
He may end up as VP, but just like that Beto Male down in Texas, once the spotlight gets turned on him the lack of substance quickly becomes clear.
