Having been betrayed by several of the people closest to me, I fully understand this. May the effing betrayer get all that she deserves.
Depending on the locality, recording a conversation without the other party’s knowledge can be illegal and I believe can be a felony. If it was cross jurisdictional, could be an FBI case. Wouldn’t that be nice?
… of course, that assumes that the FBI will actually do its F$%^!@# job. Its recent history calls that into question.
As an atheist, I get sick and tired of all the Christmas bruhaha toward the end of December. This almost as much as I hate cold, snow, ice, and dangerous driving conditions. I celebrate the Winter Solstice because it signals the start of the end of Winter. Warm weather will return again. I simply must wait a few months.
The Christmas assault occurs each year and is almost identical every bloody time. The berth of Jesus is a myth without ANY objective evidence it happed as is endlessly and tirelessly portrayed near the end of December. It all is just as real as Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, or Halloween Vampires. It is as pointless as asserting 2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.
As a Christian who believes the birth of Jesus was a divine occurrence (wholly-based upon faith and my own observations of the universe) I am also sick and tired:

Our differences of belief are not what strengthens our nation. Rather it is what we commonly believe: individual liberty to live our lives as we each desire and deem appropriate without fear of interference or retribution.
And of course, we Christians can agree with atheists specifically that the commercialization of Christmas, especially that which occurs before Thanksgiving, is abhorrent at every level.
Agreed. I did mention that. However, I make no distinction between the “commercialization of Christmas” either before or after Thanksgiving — it’s all absurd.
I have no problem with wanting to party and trade gifts with friends and loved ones. It is all the mythical hoo-ha that goes along with it.
Why not? “That you exist and are who you are makes my life better. I hope to do the same for you. Here is a small token my gratitude.” This should be more than enough without all of the pagan and religious symbiology that goes with the Christmas Season.
At least we can all agree on something and disagree on other things without having to pillage, burn, riot, and kill each other. Quite unlike the demented left of left.

I have had in-laws who were Jewish and even dated a Jewish lady for a short while. I was raised Methodist.
Gave up religion in my mid 20s partly on the basis that Faith cannot and will not lead to knowledge (truth). I was a Scientists and Engineer to the core. My brother was a Methodist minister now retired.

Melania was MALIGNED!!! As someone who often drops a few expletives daily, I admire her even more. Wolkoff must be losing friends right and left….ah..yeah. Mostly Right. Never trusted again. A pariah to all. Just something she so Rightly deserves.

The consequences manifest from a lack of honor are an absolute. Unfortunately, those who suffer them are not always those who should.
I thought it was a violation of our rights, and the law, to secretly record private conversations of someone without their knowledge? That’s just absolutely evil in and of itself – but then to release those conversations to the communist media in this country is just unforgivable. These people have zero moral compass.
If one carefully reads the history of our so-called “right to privacy,” one will discover that it was a “right” that was wholly manufactured from the “penumbra” of the United States Constitution (https://definitions.uslegal.com/p/penumbra/). This does not, in any way, imply that I think that Melania’s ex-friend was righteous in recording and releasing such conversations. In fact, I believe the opposite since my parents raised me to pursue Biblical wisdom:
