New Website Goes Live!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

I see the beta URL is now redirecting to billwhittle.com proper.  Seems like it works as designed.

Yeah, the insecure website message alarmed me at first. It made me think the site was hacked. So, of course, I had to alarm Bill and Scott.

I am so sorry about that, fellas. Everything is running like a well oiled machine!

I’ve never tried to move a website (though I know some of the problems) but a person needs to have a thick skin when something changes and a gazillion people tell you about it, swamping the system even further…

I’m just going to shut up and take it like a man until things settle out. Actually, it’s looking pretty good at the moment.

If you go straight to billwhittle.com, you probably won’t get the security warning.

That’s what I did, eventually. Deleted my old site bookmark, and the shortcut on my phone.

Installed the new shortcut (the icon looks amazing), and now I’m good to go!

I also opened a bug ticket on that issue, but I see that I don’t have a list of my open tickets anymore, so I can’t add to it or explain it further. “Bugs” became “Submit Bugs” and that is all it does.

UPDATE: No, I’m blind…there is “My Tickets” on the submission form now.

I’m still seeing an unrecognized security certificate, but only when re-directing from the old site to the new site. If you come in directly through billwhittle.com there are no problems.

My browser is blocking some scripts from “unauthenticated sources”. The certificates that they’re using probably lack the correct SAN. That should be fixable.
