NY Times Bombshell: Trump Tax Returns Show Huge Losses, Shady Deals

The New York Times has transcripts of Donald Trump’s IRS tax returns from 1985-94. They show huge business losses of $1.17 billion in a decade, and profits from shady deals in which Trump bought stock, spread false rumors of a take-over, then sold his stock quickly at a profit. Will revelations from this “bombshell” story have any effect on Trump supporters or his reelection chances? Do Democrats now have additional reason to press for release of his last six years of tax returns?

Democrats are masters of moral equocation. In one instance, they’ll accuse someone of breaking the law. But if the law was not broken, they’ll switch it to a moral argument. Everone needs to know that legality and morality are not the same. Just because something is unlawful, doesn’t mean it’s immoral and vice versa. Killing a baby in the womb is immoral but certainly not illegal. Trump used every deduction allowed by law to cut his losses and now the Dems are painting it as a moral failure. not illegal. Good for him!

Trump just signed an Executive Order to get the feds out of education.

I don’t care about his private business affairs. Results count, and the results the past two years have far overshadowed his business dealings as a private citizen.

He is getting the fed out of education. If he does absolutely nothing else until the end of his presidency, I feel my vote paid off.

Getting the feds out of the public schools will take a long time, yet it is a start; that is, of course, assuming he is elected again, the house comes back to the Republicans and we keep the Senate or gain a few, which would be preferable.

It would be beneficial to have the local areas determining which texts books to use while having the parents involved in the decision. The government has its tenteacles in all facets of education and getting rid of all of them would be like trying to get rid of dandelions or stopping a new poplar tree from growing since they sucker off the roots of other trees…

What bothers me immensely is that for two years now some in Congress have attacked our president again and again. It is a ruse to keep our minds off what/who is really behind the debacle: the Democrats, including Barack Obama.

What can WE do? The media is on the side of the socialists and we on the right have few resources for getting out the truth. Now it is his business dealings of the past, How about up the character of JFK, LBJ, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, etc, who were primarily democrat? How about what the Democrats did/do, both in the past and present, to hurt the black/minority population, putting them into another form of slavery?

It seems we have no voice. Sure, we get to vote but it is like a spot, a dot meaning nothing anymore. We can vote someone in but either their promises were just words, to get elected. Currently, they attacked our president from the start. After he was elected, the frontal assault began in earnest. The first attack failed so they brought the “insurance plan” the big gun. No more shooting over the bow.

In all my 71 years NEVER has there been factions… elected/nonelected …within our government doing their darndest to collapse our beloved Republic, the ONLY true democratic Republic in history. It deeply hurts my heart as welling as causing me great concern

I think the one thing we can do now is recognize voting for party is real and voting for the candidate is not. If you can get your friends, family and neighbors that are still speaking to you after the End of the World (TM) to vote Republican for just the next election, the decent people we have chasing corruption will be able to finish the job and hopefully purge a bunch of the criminals.

I hesitate to say, but if some (especially House) Democrats do actually act sane in the next 18 months and repudiate the crazy leadership their party has, a reward vote for them might do more to re-establish comity between the parties. Showing the representatives that compromise and cordiality is what we want and partisan gotcha politics gets you fired might pull them back to the center.

On the other hand, sane Democrats might get primaried and pilloried by Demented Donks and not give us a chance. I hope for the sake of our nation that the parties can return to a semblance of choices, and not just “Would you like arsenic or cynanide on your salad?”

Trump was the best choice for these chaotic times, for sure. Cyanide or arsenic… great analogy.

The Democratic deep state has so poisoned the political waters that a good man cannot survive. We saw this with Romney. What we needed was a monster that could swim in those waters, drink the poison and ask for more. We needed a monster that can sink down to their level and beat them at their own game. That monster is Donald Trump. The only difference between them and him is that he is willing to wrench power out of their hands and give it back to the people where it belongs. That’s what makes him our monster. If you play poker against a cheater you will never win. They will always pull an ace out of their sleeve. We needed a guy that was willing to pull a straight flush out of his!

The regressive progressives hold tightly to the idea that any target they have for destruction cannot have made a mistake during his lifetime or he cannot possibly do anything right again FOREVER. “Mistake” being defined by what ever infinitely elastic non-standard the regressive progressives invent, at the moment, as being an unforgivable mistake. Which they then apply to their target. The facts of the matter and the fact that no crime was committed is irrelevant to them. The important thing is that their target is thereby destroyed.

On the other hand, the regressive progressives can make any mistake or even commit obvious crimes and still be infinitely forgiven. All on the bases that they can claim something they call “good intentions”. They don’t even have to have “good intentions”. They simply have to claim they do. Then all is forgiven and the slate is wiped clean.

Ah, the morality police. I don’t care either, but for different reasons. I don’t care because I find it extremely hilarious that Democrats care about morality. They didn’t care when it was Bill or Hillary Clinton. They don’t care about millions of babies getting slaughtered by abortion. They don’t care about criminal illegal immigrants killing people and running drugs. They paint law enforcement as racist and evil and glorify street thugs with lengthy criminal backgrounds. They did not care when the IRS was weaponized against conservative organizations. The did not care………. etc, etc, etc………. So I say to Democrats. I truly care about your concerns, but for them to use a morality platform after the decades of completely immoral behavior on their part, makes their “Orange Man Bad” rants completely and utterly worthless. When and if team blue ever decides to truly take a stand for ethics and morality, I will be ready to listen.

The character issue to be president went away a very long time ago. Some could say Kennedy’s others, in love with Camelot would have to admit Clinton.

to the character issue, I didn’t vote for Trump, or any President, to be my parent, role model, priest, confessor or moral touchstone. I voted for the guy to manage the operations of the Feds in my best interests. And I agree w/ “the government that governs least, governs best.”

Careful there, FG – using “The K-Word” around Bill could get you booted from this site! =8^)

His book, The Art of the Comeback, talks about his financial issues and how he overcame them. While this may not be Fake News, it is certainly not New News.

Beat me to it. Old news and led to ‘Art of the Comeback’ if I’m not mistaken.
