Officer Friendly Kills Himself

Four LA County Sheriff’s Deputies die in a 24 hour period… and each by their own hand.

Four LA County Sheriff’s Deputies die within a 24 hour period…and each of them by their own hand. Bill, Steve and Scott try to get to the heart of the pressures that all police officers face, and most especially, how plummeting rates of respect for law enforcement are creating an environment where choosing such a career will soon be simply intolerable.

I was MP in the AF and I was messed with for no reason other than the cops were bullies. I saw numerous times they abused the badge.
the vast amount of the people are AFRAID of the cops. The Constitution/ Bill of Rights has NEVER been overturned therefore no one has to give up there 4th A right to “be secure in their persons, papers and effects” so why do I have to show my papers America is NOT nazi Germany. warren v DC says “it is NOT the job of the police to protect us.” Yet if you exercise your right to be secure the cops WILL abuse you. NOTHING trumps the Bill of Rights not even a cop with a badge

If you’re living in a place where a very significant number of the people around you not only don’t share your culture, they don’t share your language either, where the elected officials are more worried about getting votes from bad guys than they are about protecting the good guys with law and order, where insanity rules because so many people have been abusing substances for so long they forgot what rational even looks like, where police are demonized and despised so much that they take their own lives … You are living in the wrong place and need to get out of there.

That goes double for good cops too. Leave, get a job somewhere else and let those heathen pricks fend for themselves. Move to a Red state or at least a Red area in a Blue state. There is no need for you to live a miserable, defeated, unappreciated life protecting people who hate you. You are a member of an heroic profession and if you’re a good cop you deserve to be treated accordingly. If you’re a bad cop then don’t move to that kind of place because they’re going to get wise to your crap real fast.

The Left has shat in its own nest. They’ve turned these Blue cities into third world shitholes. This is the result of their importation of third world politics usurping and supplanting innate American politics. Doing that never ends well. Let them suffer the consequences of their choices without using you for a buffer. The rot is so bad now that collapse is inevitable in many of those cities. You’re not doing anyone a favor by fighting to postpone it. The only way this situation gets resolved is on the other side of disaster.

I know there are still a few good people in those places but they obviously are not able to stem the tide. We’re clearly past the tipping point in those places because there’s not even an inkling that things are going to reverse themselves. Those people need to get out while they can drive away with their family and possessions intact. If they wait much longer they’re going to be driven away anyway but in a gawd-awful hurry with only what they can carry. And if they’re lucky as hell none of their loved ones being harmed or killed.

Thank you, Jennifer. I always thought that was a pretty name, BTW, neither here nor there but I like it.

I would have no idea where to start with a book and I’d probably have to run it by some other people to be certain I wasn’t exposing any information that I should not. So I’ve never really been serious regarding a book.

I have some serious adventure tales that I don’t think I can tell, at least not here. More’s the pity. Because if I have any insight at all it’s due to those experiences.

It’s very nice to know that there are people who take the time to read and understand what I’m saying though. Thank you very much for that.

You are entirely welcome! Please continue to share your insights. You may get hired by BW.com (:

This is really messed up, the state of California is a third world country now. The morons who keep voting for these losers are getting what they deserve.

Yeah … one with zero border control. Think about that if you’re having trouble staying awake at night.
They may be “getting what they deserve,” but so is the rest of the country — regardless of guilt or culpability.

I get that. At least now there is more distance between the zombies and you. Distance is good.

I disagree. The greatest threat to the police is the police that remain silent about the bad cops because they don’t want to be called a ‘snitch’.

I will have more to say later, but I looked up the article and it is one former and three current deputies.
I am a former deputy for Orange Co. California.

Read this morning that Xi Jinping and Brandon are meeting in San Francisco, and the city has FINALLY found funding, ability, etc to clean up the feces on the streets/sidewalks and move out the tent cities. The democrat party post JFK is as worthless as … the feces on SF sidewalks.
Two tour Vietnam veteran, 100% disability rating, worked my way thru two suicide “depressions.” The worst thing in the world is a feeling that your whole life has been for naught.
Finally figured out that suicide is a permeant fix for a temporary problem. God bless you guys, all veterans.

I believe I can say for a lot more than myself, “many thanks for your service to our nation” and welcome home. It is indeed by the grace of a HOLY GOD that many like you and my brother did not pull the trigger during one of many depressive states that were a result of the Vietnam war or rather conflict. Glad you are here today and part of the BWN community.

Thanks for your reply, Paul, but I’d like to make one thing clear. The war itself didn’t cause as much of an issue for me as the treatment I received when I returned to “home.” Both of my parents, mom and dad, were WWII Army veterans. They had their issues. Dad’s biggest was having to throw explosive charges in caves on Guadalcanal knowing the locals were chained across the opening. He never got past that. Between tours in Nam I came home on leave at one point, and both of them tried to convince me to ROTC (Run Off To Canada). I think they were pleased when I told them I couldn’t turn my back on my friends still there.
God bless you, Paul, and your brother. Thanks for his service, and yours. Just your support is service.
David

agent orange caught up with my brother in 2005 at the young age of 56. I am sure that we both have lost many other “brothers” since the Viet Nam era from many different secondary causes but I am thankful for the eternal hope that we look forward to and that they are already experiencing. Bless you and yours
