Political beliefs (Racism, affirmative action)

I believe in Martin Luther King Jr. view: “Judge not by the color of one’s skin, but on the content of one’s Character”

I do not believe in affirmative action, nor welfare. I think these programs are the hands that are holding minorities down. One does not become more fit in a gym by making certain exercise routines easier.

Having it easy means you will not be as strong as the others that follow the routine. But making it easier on one group you are in effect making that group weaker than the rest.

I could go on and on about how holding these views doesn’t make me a racist. But I will simply say that the entirety of my family immigrated to the USA AFTER the Civil War(lawfully I should add).

If you are assuming my race based on anything that I have said in this section, you need to look in the mirror for any racism.

I found something interesting when researching for my Thomas Jefferson paper. Apparently, among American slaves around the year 1800, divorce was EXTREMELY rare. Slaves could not legally marry, of course, but they did pick partners and stick with them, despite their horrible condition. How is it that black families were more functional under slavery than they are today?

I can point the finger at one major contributor.
Of course, it is far far from politically correct.

Specifically, allowing women to shakedown men in divorce court & family court. Alimony & child support make it easier for a woman to just kick a guy out of the house.

If he can’t pay… no biggie. He goes to jail and the “state” still pays.

But I will cover this in another section

Not to mention the loss of Christian values. People don’t have as much commitment to actually staying together anymore, divorce is seen as totally fine by our culture.
