Right Angle: Backstage [03/10/2020]

Afternoons are meant for napping. Nevertheless, we recorded this show at naptime…and still jabbered on for more than 33 minutes. Steve Green gets blindsided, despite being well-oiled, and Scott Ott stumps his colleagues with movie trivia.

Check out this recent episode of Bill Whittle Now with Scott Ott to which Scott mentioned.

I finally forked over the cash for a years membership and this is what I get? lol Seriously I am happy to be here and always enjoy the BW content.

Bill: Correction. The root of Islamic dress codes is that men are not responsible for their urges, emotions, thoughts. Women are draped from head to toe and escorted by their husbands or approved male family member, to prevent men from being tempted. If then a man commits a crime against a woman, it is her fault for tempting him. That is why Islamic men can’t be free. Freedom is tempered by responsibility.

What is the difference between COVID-19 and any other seasonal flu? It has a name, so the media can keep pushing their hysterics and selling their “journalism”. This whole thing has become downright ridiculous! It’s the flu, people! Most who get it will survive. Maybe we should start selling T-shirts with “I survived COVID-19”.

Heard a doctor this morning on the radio state that SARS and MERS were actually version of coronavirus. Had not heard that previously.

I always thought it amusing while walking in a Doha, Qatar mall to see a woman shopping totally covered in black walking away and seeing her Laboutin red soled high heels showing.

To answer Steve and Scott:
its the Smell… and the stink.

Can you hear me, Morpheus? I’m going to be honest with you: I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it. I can’t stand it any longer. It’s the smell- if there is such a thing. I feel… saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I’ve somehow been infected by it. It’s repulsive, isn’t it? I must get out of here. I must get free and in this mind is the key, my key. Once Zion is destroyed there is no need for me to be here, do you understand? I need the codes. I have to get inside Zion and you have to tell me how. You’re going to tell me or you’re going to die.
Dragon Magazine by TSR (Gary Gygax, creator of Drunkards & Dragons) had a cartoon strip by Phil Fogglio called What’s New with Phil & Dixie.
They did a episode about women in chain mail bikinis. The end panel was Phil confronting a Dragon wearing chain mail bikini. Sauce for the Gander.

FASA Star Trek lore claims the first Federation cloaking device, the starship cloaked. And then it couldn’t uncloak. Ship was never recovered.

I thought that The Pegasus from TNG was the first Federation ship with a cloak. Until that wus Picard handed it over to the Romulans. Sisko would have just happened to be looking at something else while Garack “slipped” and accidentally fired a few quantum torpedoes into that Romulan ship!

The FASA era Trek game predates 7th Season TNG by almost 20yrs and is now very non-cannon.

And, yeah, what’s this Treaty of Algernon BS? What dumbass in the Federation signed THAT!
