I was 13 years old when I traveled to visit my brother stationed at Ft. Dix, NJ in 1972. He took me to D.C. for my first and only time, and we visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was late August, 90 degrees and about 90% humidity, yet the changing of the guard and the playing of taps was done as it always is. And I will always remember that, and the sound of Taps.

I just thought this might be a topic to talk about. Over the past 3 weeks, I have talked to people, mostly white, but some black men, and with the riots, looting and tearing down of statues, and the hate toward white people, they are not creating unity, but good people who didn’t care about race, but now are starting to get fed up with all bullshit, and I believe creating more racists. Is this what the Marxists want, to create more divide so they conquer more easily.

. . . whereas I am an actual Luddite. If only I were brave enough to cancel my cell phone and get a landline. I nearly cried when they forced me to upgrade my 20+ year-old flip phone.
I’ve had the “new” phone for a couple of years and have never logged into my Google account (which I don’t use anymore anyway) with it. I have disabled so much crapola on it that every time I wake it up, there are 3 or 5 error messages telling me to enable such-and-such so that the messages app will know more about me.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a Babylon 5 mug. It seems to be the only franchise he doesn’t have. If I see it, I’m getting it for Steve.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. I’m sorry. The thought caused an eruption of uncontrollable joy. No. After this, I work noon to 8 p.m. in the store.

LOL, no never used beard balm, although I have heard good things about it. Come to think about it, it has been a while since I have gotten a speeding ticket too. Wonder if that means I am wasting time in the car or that I am trying to enjoy the trip getting to the destination?
