Right Angle: Backstage (06-29-2021)

Bill, Steve and Scott discuss the breaking news about the condo tower collapse in Florida, although that will not be a topic for this week’s Right Angle episodes.

The tragedy of the condominium building in Florida is the perfect metaphor for America’s crumbling infrastructure that no one wants to pay for. And so long as members of Congress want to tack on pork to an infrastructure bill, it will continue to crumble

I can sympathize with Bill’s odds of a heart attack. Six years ago at age 58 I was diagnosed with breast cancer (early stage 2). It does not run in my family, but I figured it has to start somewhere, right? I read that 1 in 8 women get breast cancer, so, because of me, seven women are safe. They can thank me later. 🙂

Hey Scott,
I have three boys and the first and the last were bone on the same day 13 years apart. Their birthdays are June 27th also. Good people born on that day! I will remember yours from now on.
Also, have you watched a little TV lately? Ha ha.
Mike

Unfortunately, Bill, your trans weight lifter won’t be going to the Olympics.
‘SHE” suffered an injury to “her” testicle, and doctors have instructed “her” not to do any heavy lifting!
So it seems that the universe has a sense of justice after all….

This is so ridiculously laughable! She injured her testicle, hahaha! One-nil for the universe! Or God.

My hubby got me started watching BritBox. Now, I just want to binge BritBox. I haven’t watched shows on NBC, CBS, ABC or FOX for years. Stop giving me poor writing and bad acting.

With you there. I have BritBox, Acorn TV, Masterpiece, and we cancelled Cable. Saving money and not missing it at all. When we had cable, I got sort of caught in watching idiotic reality tv shows, kind of like when you see a wreck on the road, and can’t help slowing down and staring…

Interesting story about building maintenance. The old stone steps up to a town hall somewhere in Lincolnshire had worn down in the middle. Rather than spend the money on new steps it was proposed that the steps were simply turned over, exposing the unworn underside. The workmen did as they were asked, and the underside was worn away as well! Evidently a previous generation had had the same idea and the good burghers of the town had been walking on only a few inches of stone for years.

The Trannies in the Olympics brings up the same question that having creeps in womens bathrooms brings up – where are “Feminist” groups through all of this? Or has the Feminist Movement just been reduced to being a front group for Big Abortion?

Seeing what happened to the lesbian tennis star, I think they realized if they don’t shut up and get with the program, they’ll be next up against the wall of bigotry.

The pilot episode of “Big Bang Theory” was a soggy sack of cliches and damn near unwatchable. The pilot ep of the American version of “The IT Crowd” wasn’t that good.

I’ve heard a couple of podcasts in the last week re equity companies, notably Blackrock, are buying up whole neighborhoods of single family homes as rental properties. Both hosts noted both the economic pressures multi billion dollar companies competing for houses against actual families.
But the hosts also noted that Blackrock is one of the wokest of woke companies. By turning Americans into renter, this woke company can end-run the Constitution and for all intents and purposes eliminate things like the 2nd Amendment. By using terms of the rental agreement.

You are not the only ones having a hard time keeping opinions current with the changing news stories but at least I don’t have to put a show together.
