Perhaps the most single-topic show in Backstage history, and with good reason. Bill lays out in extensive detail the rationale, plans and status for an entirely new series of interviews called ARCHETYPES. Details are in the show, but as of this posting we have confirmation for in-depth discussions with Jon Vought, Gary Sinise, Mike Rowe, Adam Baldwin, Burt Rutan, Dick Rutan and Tom Dreesen. And you don’t have to do anything to get in on the excitement; if you’re reading this, you are already there.

Re: Bill’s theater degree– I usually tell people I majored in graduation, though my degree was BS in Economics. One of my profs told us, “An economist understands WHY he’s unemployed.” LOL
There’s also Elio. https://www.eliomotors.com/gas/ They also have electric, which they’re pushing more now.
The interview series sounds like a cool project! We conservatives sometimes fall behind in our understanding of the arts. Also, I believe I’m already getting my money’s worth. The backstage show is just fun! Thanks
Bill, I look forward to your interviews.
May I suggest that you add Thomas Sowell to your list of guests?
Also see the Polaris Slingshot, thats a cool car
I came here to pay for a membership because of Back Stage. If all I ever got for my few dollars a month was access to Back Stage I would consider myself well served and you guys don’t owe me any more than that for my membership.
I wouldn’t have known about Back Stage if you hadn’t posted a few free episodes on YouTube. Or Rumble, for all the Rumbloids out there. I don’t generally go to Rumble because Rumble doesn’t carry the things I need to know about. Though I can see where some people might prefer it. If the free episodes of Back Stage were only on Rumble I would have gone to Rumble to watch them. It’s not a big deal to me either way.
All of that said, this is an enterprise, a commercial enterprise and as such will do much better at spreading Conservative viewpoints if it is financially successful as an enterprise. So for my very small part I’m happy to see you moving in new directions in pursuit of greater economic stability for the venture.
I look forward to watching this new show develop and I’m sure I will be as interested in it as I am all the rest of the content here on this site.
Onwards and upwards, gentlemen. The Left is beginning to develop some serious cracks and anything that applies pressure to them is worth the effort. Do what you think best, I’ll be here watching you do it and continuing to recommend you to everyone I know.
May have to think of another name other than ‘Archetypes’. I believe that Megan, Duchess of Sussex already has that name copyrighted for her podcast series.
Love this idea. This will be a lot of fun and could be good for adding members. I became a member years ago because I had started watching the YouTube videos and decided I needed to see more content.
Speaking of coming outta nowhere, how could you miss Val Kilmer? His first role, very first role was Nick Rivers in “Top Secret”. The following year he was Chris Knight in “Real Genius” and the year after that he played Ice Man. I mean, talk about coming outta nowhere, and being huge right outta the gate.
As opposed to Val Kline who had one co-starring role then dropped off the face of the Earth.
True story. Back when the movie “Serenity” was released, Universal Studios invited a bunch of Firefly fan clubs for a special Serenity in the park day. Being a memeber of the Browncoats, I got to go. And the park completely mishandled the event. The big event of the day was an intimate panel discussion w/ the cast. The staff of Universal screwed the thing up and most of us didn’t get into the talk.
Well, Adam Baldwin found out about this and came out to say hi to the few of us that were still hanging around. We all went over to one of the cafes in the park and he basically held court w/ a few of us fans for about half an hour.
Can’t say enough good about Adam Baldwin.
I too am loosing forward to those interviews,…. what drives those actors to take on those roles and the process to prepare. Contrast that with…. no…. no politics. That would be joyful to hear a uplifting conversation without political commentary.
I caught Scott’s Princess Bride quote.
Bill’s new project sounds really good.
I’m quite looking forward to these interviews. To keep it culture over politics, consider some hard left folks too, like Whoopie, Jeff Daniels, Rob Reiner, George Takei, Bette Midler, etc. Thanks for turning me onto Ben Crystal and John Gardner.
“Deliverance” was filmed where I live now. The 10-mile stretch of the Chattooga River and the famed Tallulah George are minutes away, and the local banjo-picking kid – da-da-dum-dum-da-da-dum-da-dum – greets folks at the local Walmart. The whole Ned Beatty, “Squeal like a pig” meme gave the area bad press for decades.
Now the area is where monied retirees live-out their mountain, white water, and mountain lake retreat fantasies. I heard the mean price of a home is $750K. Da-da-dum-dum-da-da-dum-da-dum days are gone.
the man who portrayed Burt Reynolds in the movie was part owner of the Nantahala River whitewater outfitters which at the time was just a country store on the river just north of the Georgia line in N.C. AAhhh, the good old days of paddling.
Great episode looking forward to the new content.
“feel good” material is fine, but news wise … this is scary: Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a jet which crashed killing all on board, Russia’s civil aviation authority has said. He was shot down by Russian air defenses!!! Honestly, hope Prigozhin snuck off prior to flight and that he comes back to lead a revolution, where Putin is putdown like the rabid dog he has become, then break w/China (failing economy, political coup threats).
If Prigozhin did have the brains to sneak off the plane before take-off, it was most likely his men who shot it down. And he’s lounging on a Pacific Island beach with a new face and a 20-something girlfriend, now!!!
Please adjust Stephen’s microphone volume. He sounds like he is talking from afar. Thanks – Joe –
Yeah, it’s been that way for at least a few weeks now. That could be corrected with volume levelling in post processing. I don’t understand why it hasn’t been fixed.
I don’t know if I am just slow and uninformed or just missed out on something, but I have missed Zo and the Virtue Signal lately. ???
Scott came up with a new word I have not heard. How do you spell “An Piss it Tated”?
Bill mentioned during the TSL where he talked about this idea that they are tight on money. Hence the membership push (things behind the paywall). Also why Bill is the editor and webmaster now and they have put VS on hiatus.
thank you so much for the update. I rarely listen to the TSL as I am busy doing outside work for church and so indigent folks. Excluding myself, this site has the most helpful and insightful and intelligent participants that I have found on the WWW. I try to watch all the episodes that I can.
