I grew up in what is now NY17. NY 18 is north of Peekskill and includes the are where West Point is. it was probably R+ something back in the day. AOC is from right on the border of 17 and 18.

I’ve heard that the heater in the sat dish does have the problem that it attracts cats. And they will block the sat signal.
Cats are mediocre semiconductors. They have an unfavorable ohms/amps ratio, a fairly effective insulative coating and tend to adversely affect voltage.
Of course the way to overcome that is more power. Which tends to fry feline semiconductors.
A .22 will also work on a per semiconductor basis.
Don’t get me wrong, I like cats. Nice fluffy furry purry cuddly tame cats. Wild semiconductors are a completely different matter. If it’s altering a satellite signal there’s a good chance it’s a wild semiconductor that needs to be eliminated from the electromagnetic environment.

Lol, only the feral ones. If you have a cat that you let roam outside, be sure to put a collar on it. A highly visible collar. Feral cats don’t wear collars. Feral cats are generally wendigo in disguise.
Also legitimate targets are any other sort of wendigo disguised as any kind of animal which is to be determined by observation of behavior (cameras work well for that too), vermin like opossum and rats (‘possums are pretty much just big marsupial rats), skunks, and Leftists attempting to covertly redistribute wealth to themselves in the dead of night. In which case that expression is doubly appropriate.
Depending on the nature of the intruder I might use a crossbow so I don’t disturb the neighbors after dark … I’m respectful of people’s sensibilities, the mild twang and whispering death of a crossbow bolt is nice and quiet. No sense in creating a disturbance. In some cases. Where a disturbance would be counterproductive.

I think you have that backwards. Coke is still the superior beverage in spite of the fact that those who run the company are a bunch of woke fools.
Regardless, discounting sales in restaurants, Pepsi was outselling Coke at the time. I preferred Pepsi. But new Coke was dreck compared to either Classic Coke or Pepsi, in most people’s minds (mine included).
