RIP Sydney Bruce

Y’all know by now that I have a soft spot for animals that enrich the lives of humans.  I’m also a TAM, a Tammy Army Member, that is to say a fan of Tammy Bruce.  She’s a reliable conservative voice of reason, a Fox News contributor, and an all-around good egg.  This past weekend she lost her beloved dog Sydney.  Although Sydney was not a powerhouse internet celebrity in the vein of Grumpy Cat, she was a much loved member of the Bruce household and much loved by us TAMs.  She will be missed mightily.  If you’d like to pay your respects or just want to see what Tammy is up to these days, go on over to https://tammybruce.com/ . RIP Sydney.  You were a good dog, and your mother misses you very much.  See you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Yes. I get her podcast for the most part, and that’s how I keep up with her. I believe her stuff is subscription only, aside from the FoxNews appearances.

Ms. Bruce’s The New Thought Police was the first conservative book I picked up, back in 2002. I didn’t end up becoming a regular follower of her radio and TV appearances, but her book brought me profound relief of recognition — at last, someone else saw the things I’d been surrounded by as I saw them! — opening a whole new world to me when I desperately needed a way out. I credit her, with much gratitude, with helping save my mind and my life. Her story of moving from activist on the left (she was president of the Los Angeles chapter of NOW) to a strong and vocal conservative critic of the left’s aims and tactics is one among many of that genre worth reading. I’m sorry to hear of her loss. Pets are people too.

I posted a couple of good Tammy Bruce quotes in my collection here.

Tammy’s the best. Keep hoping that Bill could get her on this network. Loved watching her on PJMedia. And, of course listing to her radio show when I was in LA.
