Self-Lynching of Jussie Smollett: Video Shows Empire Star Wore ‘Noose’ Until Cops Arrived

Newly-released video shows that former Empire actor Jussie Smollett wore a piece of rope — characterized as a ‘noose’ — until Chicago police arrived on the night he ‘fell victim’ to an alleged racist and homophobic attack. With questions still unresolved about Smollett’s apparent self-lynching, the men of Right Angle consider the implications of the video.

When this story first broke, I called my sister and read it to her and we laughed. We were born and raised in Chicago and the suburbs. I’m pretty sure that the only people who believed Smollett’s story that a roving band of MAGA hat wearing, bleach carrying, lynch rope wielding, Trump supporters were in Streeterville at 3am, during a polar vortex, looking for gay black tv stars, have never been to Chicago.

I much prefer the use of ‘stolen’ as opposed to ‘faux’. The only saving grace in this made-up debacle is that his show was cancelled and he’s now unemployed.

I read about the “noose” (including the fact that he still had it on when the police showed up at his apartment some time later) in the stories about the incident at the time. Also worthy of note was that the MAGA hats weren’t MAGA hats: they were just red hats, because there were no MAGA hats available in downtown Chicago. Presumably they couldn’t find real rope either at the hardware store where they bought the hats, cord, and bleach. Funny, not a lot of need for real rope in downtown Chicago.

I was in an online discussion with a friend of mine a few days ago. He is African-American, a former Marine, and is currently residing in Japan running his own corporation. He is married with a young son. His wife is white and of Romanian heritage. He has carved out a prosperous niche with the Japanese government negotiating labor contracts in the construction industry. On the side he teaches English to japanese students at a tutoring center. He is aggressively liberal and easily goes into full anger rant mode preaching the progressive doctrine.

In our discussion, he was preaching the horrors of modern day racism and oppression against blacks. Another friend of his had joined the chat to gang up on me. I wisely sidestepped most of the fight and kept my even rational tone, but that’s just my style. After several rounds of back and forth, I asked him a simple question. Basically I asked him how he or his mixed race son is currently oppressed or impacted by racism from the past in US history. I had an ulterior motive as my heritage is mixed race American Indian(Chippewa tribe). I stated, because if you are oppressed and suffering, then I must be as well (he knows my ancestry). I told him I (nor anyone in my family) had ever felt oppressed or impacted by the sins of the past in our nation).

I waited a bit longer than normal for him to respond. After a while he did. He stated that it made him think and he had to agree with me now. He had to admit that things are pretty good. #winning

Absolutely correct. Asking the right question of Leftists will cause one of two reactions, the first being the one you received from your buddy. The other reaction is the Leftist will SIN, that is they will Shift the subject; Ignore the facts/question; and Name call. I used to try to have civil discussions with the few Leftist Facebooks friends I had and SIN was the final result of my questions. I commend you for asking the right question and your friend for actually thinking about it and agreeing with you.

I always liked taking the Fremen whenever me & my brothers played the old Avalon Hill game.
