Stranger in a Strange Land: California Gun Law Apes Texas Abortion Law, Trolling Supreme Court

If it was a bad idea in The Lone Star State, as Newsom clearly believes, how can it be a good idea in the Golden State? Should a man who wants to be U.S. President treat the law as a trolling toy?

Gov. Gavin Newsom of California signs new gun control law (SB 1327) that copies the Texas approach to abortion in its SB 8 — putting enforcement in the hands of citizens who sue. If it was a bad idea in The Lone Star State, as Newsom clearly believes, how can it be a good idea in the Golden State? Should a man who wants to be U.S. President treat the law as a trolling toy?

“Yeah, 2024 is gonna be a…”
I think the word you’re looking for is “zoo,” Steve.
“The majesty of the law…”
All of those things are anathema to leftists, Steve. Leftists consider a law “good” or “bad” according to the outcome, not the process. A blatantly banana-republic process, with no attempt whatever at equality under that process, that results in the “bad” (by their subjective personal criteria) people being punished and the “good” (ditto) people being rewarded, is a “good” law in their eyes. We have seen countless examples of this over the years. Hillary Clinton’s violations of the Espionage Act, the Sussman trial, and right now the ongoing January 6th disaster. Witness tampering, evidence tampering, intimidation, hearsay and outright lies are praised as long as it gets the result they want.
BTW, I love the Inigo Montoya coffee cup.
“They’re going to find out just how much in 2024…”
After personally showing up at the polling place and being informed that you have already voted, you honestly believe that the voters’ opinions will be a factor, Bill? Seriously?

Yes, yes, YES! A thousand times yes to what Bill proposes. I wrote a treatise on this like 2 years ago when the Washington types first brought up recinding the PLCAA. Just waiting for this type of opportunity to spring it.
Sue EVERYBODY! Sue the fork manufacturers for your waistline! Sue C&H for your diabetes. Sue Nike for your athletes foot! If enough people bring enough stupid, frivolous lawsuits, and most important!:

    cite this law as precedent!,

then it’ll be thrown out in record time.

Newsom may become President without a single vote being cast in the same manner that Gerald Ford became President. So don’t think the Dems aren’t evil enough to make that happen prior to 2024.

Suing the gun manufacturer for crimes committed with guns is more akin to suing the manufacturer of the suction device used to vacuum the child from womb.
Rather than holding responsible those who pulled the trigger or pushed the on button.
Again we see anything that absolves personal responsibility and accountability.

How unmitigatedly childish of these political children.

This law won’t “work”, they know it won’t work, they know the first case will be a test case and it will fail. They’re doing the political equivalent of stamping their little feetsies and holding their breath until they turn blue.

I used to live in the Soviet Socialist Repooblik of Kalifornia, I am so glad I got out of there I cannot describe the peace and joy that accompanied moving across the continent and getting as far away from Kalifornia as is possible in the CONUS.

Federalism is a double edged sword for our Republic. Sometimes the State protects you from the Federal government and sometimes the Federal government protects you from the State. In the case of Kalifornia the latter is the case because …

Kalifornia would really like to ignore the fact that every single one of its citizens is not only a Kalifornian, they are Americans too. Thank God for the Republic.

Why not just call Newsome what he actually is?
Nancy Pelosi’s nephew.
More than any possible insult, this name is a perfect descriptor of who he is, what he is, and the only reason he is where he is

He probably got where he is via incestuous favors for good ol’ Auntie Nan. Competence was not the reason. Kinda like Kamala.

Sadly, Gavin -“pose like you’re thinking”- Newsome will get a substantial number of votes because he is younger, thinner, and more handsome. We are populated by a large number of folks pulling us ever deeper into “Idiocracy”. Even as intellectually challenged as he and his fellow California Dem Kamala seem to be, they are apparently smarter than their voters.
How much longer until we water our crops with Gatoraid? Because it has electrolytes, you know.

“pose like you’re thinking”

Hah! He’s probably contemplating crossing the street. It requires a lot of thought for the likes of him..
