You guys are so right – my MIL had dementia (she has mercifully passed now) and her whole personality changed. This soft-spoken woman became paranoid, belligerent, and even physically aggressive. It’s so sad to watch. And it’s often very difficult for family to affect the situation, because the patient can still exert their misguided and deluded will, even though they may not even know what year it is.
I totally agree that whoever is responsible for manipulating this clearly cognitive-challenged man into running for elected office is self-serving, and lacking compassion. Much as I dislike Joe Biden, he doesn’t deserve to go out this way. It’s evil. (But it wouldn’t bother me if he went to prison for all his corruption.)
The leadership of the Democrat party are running Joe Biden because he’s the only candidate that could win. But he’s not really running for President of the US (which is why he couldn’t tell you what he’s running for). He’s running to stay out of prison. As long as he can say he’s a political opponent of Trump, they feel they can get people to believe any prosecution of Biden is a political persecution of an opponent. It’s the same line Hillary is trying to pull. And it has worked so far. The DOJ hasn’t been able to do anything, although Judicial Watch has been gaining some small ground.

The driver of that truck went to his grave haunted by Biden’s lies, to the point where his children were forced to beg the vice president to stop defaming their late father. The casual cruelty with which Biden is willing to subordinate the lives of ordinary people to his political ambitions — for the sake of a petty tear-jerker line in one of his occasionally plagiarized stump speeches — is remarkable…”

Its not just happening in the USA. Jeremy Corbyrn in Britain was a Marxist gaff machine. [His brother is a conservative climatologist who predicts the weather with a model everyone rejected and he’s a climate sceptic!]
In Australia the Labor party ran with Bill Shorten a corrupt unionist probe to gaffs and picking hes nose on camera. Bill Shorten quit and it went to Anthony Albanese who has never worked out side the party machine. All ways a political staffer since university. He was more competent but he’s been pushed to insane positions. We really are seeing the end of the left worldwide.
The Democrats know they are going to loose so they are running with Biden’s dementia because they can make an ageist argument against Trump when Trump thrashes him. A bid for an elderly vote. If I’m right they will run with a campaign claiming that Trump will shut down or end aged pensions in two months.
A senile candidate puts the party machine in power and they like power. Its all they have.
Biden, Hillary, etc are facing charges. Bernie will not protect them if Barr starts laying charges before November. The choice of Biden defines that. The DNC must win or face most of the parties leaders ending up in jail.
I was formulating a comment about this presentation…then Bill summed it up mindfully. ‘Tis sad what the DNC is doing…may they gag on their own vomit.
Perhaps the Dems smartest move at this point would be to team Joe up with Michelle Obama as VP as the absolute best vote getter available, and then swap him out mid-term as incapacitated. Just the thought alone scares the bejeebers out of me, but it would put her front and center for experience and exposure, to position her for 2024, which I’m certain is at least being considered. Talk about your Hate America candidate in sheep’s clothing!
Meanwhile, Joe continues to carry the stink of Ukrainian Quid Pro Quo and his son’s graft & influence position, as so well revealed by the Impeachment attempt, so a few Gerald Ford & Dan Quail moments might actually help to mask the 800 pound Gorilla in the room.

When the Democrats cynically ran FDR’s corpse in 1944 they at least had the decency to replace the communist Wallace with the American Truman No such decency exists today on that side.
Another cynical trick is to declare that so and so was ‘martyred’ and now it’s up to us to pass everything he wanted ( or that we can SAY he wanted) or risk appearing small minded and mean spirited. Thus all the crap that was passed in the mid 60’s after JFK including his brothers’s nation killing 1965 Immigration bill. You may recall the cries after Paul Wellstone died of ‘Do it for Paul, do it for Paul!’ at his campaign rally style memorial.
This may sound mean spirited, but I’m feeling no sympathy for Biden. This is karma paying him back for a career highlighted by creation of the term “Borking”, saying that I’m among the people who wanted to “Put y’all back in chains”, etc.
I have sympathy for what your (Bill & Steve’s) families went through, and I’m in the early part of going through your experience myself. That said, none of our family members ever publicly spewed that kind of vile rhetoric that Biden has used to “coarsen the culture”, as Lefties like to put it, for decades.
And no, I’m not consumed by hatred for Biden. If he were ever to apologize and show genuine contrition, I’m ready to forgive him. I doubt that will ever happen, though. When you spend decades p***ing in the public pool, your final act being public humiliation is just karma settling the bill.
Go retire Joe, and tell Ginsberg to join you. Spend your days with your families. This last remark is genuine and not meant to be snarky in any way, but your family needs you Joe.
