I’m outta here…After over a dozen years of support and admiration for his work, I’m done with Bill Whittle. I’ll always treasure my interactions with fellow TSLers & BWDC members – some of the smartest people in the world. Who’d have thunk it that after all these years Bill turns out to be yet another thin-skinned, narcissistic, Hollywood type whose bruised ego couldn’t stand any disagreement with his new ”let them have it” non-strategy, and basically told me to fuckoff. Apparently I hit a nerve when I mentioned that only someone without kids of their own to suffer the consequences would WANT things to go to shit. So I’ll keep fighting for and enjoying my kids and grandkids in my own way, while Bill plays with his video games. It’s been real.

It’s easy to just throw a temper tantrum. And throw in big words about “fighting for the kids”.
I didn’t hear what is the alternative YOU are pushing. What you actually plan for eradicating the mind rot that covered the world lately.
I’m personally think Bill is pretty short-sighted with that idea, and ignores what actually happened in big regions where the people got their socialism — be it SU, East Europe, Cuba, Venezuela. What I see is the same rotten ideas are still popular for big masses. Where fed up with the system and supposedly replacing it the next elections quite uniformly wanted the socialists back in the power. And just erased the past failures from the minds, expecting different outcome. That didn’t happen, obviously.
And the common conclusion for not working is not that the idea is hopelessly broken, but that the implementation fas at fault, and MORE of that BS is needed.
But even with all that, what can you do when the people who want nothing but rule over others, take away freedom an values, etc are in actual majority? And everyone is still in love with “democracy” that forces that still ables to submit?
Just from the recent past, how many people stood against the tyranny and kept their gyms open? And how many of the other people did support them?
Do you have any real plan what to do?
Unfortunately, Pat, I don’t claim to have a plan other than to continue to fight these bastards at every turn – at school board meetings, town council meetings, my Congressman’s office, etc., and working for and supporting candidates that I believe are working for the good – as I have done for the last 40 years.
The way things are going now, it doesn’t look good, but we are up against human nature itself, here, so that’s not surprising. But we must do whatever we can to prevent the Marxists from doing irreparable damage in the hope that things will eventually turn around.
I just know for sure, “let them have it” IS NOT THE ANSWER. That Boomers have let them have all the institutions – from education, to Hollywood & the culture, the Boy Scouts, etc., all of it – is how we got where we are. That my generation has ceded all this ground to the Leftists over the last 50 years with barely a fight, is to our eternal shame. If my father’s generation was “the greatest generation,” ours most certainly has been the worst. We were handed the greatest country and the most freedom and prosperity the world has ever known, and we didn’t defend it.
I also find it somewhat ironic that Bill – for all his intelligence – wouldn’t see this and viciously threw me out of the club for having the audacity to disagree with him on this. I’m sure it’s from frustration – we’re all frustrated. But if his job is to rally the troops, you, I and my activist friends are the troops. If he fancies himself as Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain at Round Top, we’re the ones “fixing bayonets” and holding off the enemy as best we can.
That he would lash out against me (you should see the vile email I got) for not being willing to let them have it and throw my grandchildren to the wolves in the hopes that the sheep will miraculously then wake up and see the folly of their defund the sheepdogs craziness, sure surprised the hell out of me.
Anyway, It’s been a pleasure corresponding with all you guys. Keep fighting.
If still around, watch the recent episode: Guiding the Wheel. Bill goes into details about the topic in conflict.
While as I said before, I don’t agree with everything in his evaluation, especially I don’t share the NY optimism “it took only this short”, the opinion is coherent and fair.
One major part of it, that you might have missed, is that Bill thinks THERE IS NO WAY out of the amount of leftists already accured. They don’t listen to reason, probably not even capable of the thinking — and they are getting their way no matter what. (Gurss Bill is not ready to go full biden and just nuke half the population…) But after a down there will be an up. That can come sooner or later.
If you read Asimov’s Foundation, there Hari Seldon is in similar shoes. He sees the empire going down, inevitably, but he can offer a way to shorten the predicted 30k years of darkness to just 1k years overall till a fair recovery. And creates the Foundations to do that.
I don’t think Bill’s approach deserves just a frown unless you CAN actually offer a promising alternative. It feels like being angry at the weather-man for the predicted rain. He surely did not create it, and would be happier to report something better. But honesty does not allow just closing the eyes and join in lying as too many do for cheap kudos-collecting.
I’m sorry if you too had some nasty clash.
That’s fine, Becky, believe what you want. As a supporter of his since the early PJ Media days, I certainly would have jumped to Bill’s defense in a similar situation. He’s a brilliant guy and a great communicator whose body of work speaks for itself. That’s why the email I got from him ripping me a new one was so shocking – it seemed way out of character. And I’m glad you’re still supporting him – I think his message is important. Just don’t ever disagree with him in writing, or you’re likely to see the ugly side of him as I did. Have a great day.
Sounds to me like Bill isn’t the whiny, thin skinned, narcissist in this conversation.
I understand why Bill said, “Let them have it.” There are so many people in this country who are not going to get it till they feel the pain, even if we build parallel institutions. “Let them have it” is often how God deals with people in Scripture, a prime example being the Israelites wanting a king. God told them through Samuel exactly what a king would eventually do to them, but they said, “Give us one anyway.” So He did. And they got what was coming to them–kings who fulfilled God’s words on the subject, with a few exceptions. Right now we can bring up the facts and the lessons of history till we are blue in the face, but so many people have made up their minds and don’t want to be “confused” by facts and the evidence that is right in front of them. It will not be until they personally experience the baleful results of what they have asked for that they will possibly wake up. Or maybe they will just fall on the ground and cry and writhe in pain. But in any case we can pick up the pieces and rebuild what has been trashed by their Godless foolishness.
Am I saying that we should just give up the fight right now? NO! We at the very least have to keep the faith by reminding ourselves in the battle why we are fighting. I am not suggesting retreat or surrender–and I don’t think that this is what Bill is saying either. Rather it is that we don’t have to have nervous breakdowns over the situation. We just have to hold fast to our principles and to the foundation that comes only from God as we watch Him and follow Him in the fight. And if the enemy wins some battles, we can be assured that in the end, God has already won the war.
Um, sorry for seeming a bit pedantic but isn’t your response a bit thin skinned?
Anywho,we’ll certainly miss you – safe travels!
Sorry to hear it, and I’ll miss you. Good luck!
I’m keeping my membership because I still want to support Bill in his ultimate efforts to make independent films, but for my daily dose I need something more positive and more action-oriented. We need deep thinkers too, of course, and this renewal has to start within each person. Sometimes that’s really hard, and it takes a while to get to action.
I’ve spent some time looking for commentators that focus on actually building the parallel structures we used to talk about all those years ago, and also strategies for becoming the Kraken ourselves and fighting the uniparty establishment, taking over the Republican Party from within and turning it into a genuine party for ordinary Americans. I’ve found a few: they are out there.
the republican party is doa. trump (rightfully) exposed them for the whores they are and there is no turning away from that. now it seems as though trump has created his own box. his very own history of extreme loyalty traps him inside the laviathon of globalists and he refuses to break away choosing instead to (as you say) fight the GOPe in an attempt to reform it yet once again.
while trump tries to take out mcconnell, romney, murkowski, collins, mccain, chaney and their huge cabal of sycophant foot soldiers, this democrat marxist feminized wrecking machine from hell is destroying america and it’s very foundations at warp speed. the time for negotiated reform has past. we need a maximus meridius and/or william wallace…..yesterday.
good luck. i definitely hope you succeed.

Interesting!
Indeed. I’ll have to take a closer look
