Every single death caused by the Wuhan virus is a tragedy that could have been avoided had the CCP not decided that saving lives was not as important as saving face. But as the numbers show a marked decline, is it too early to ask if we managed to flatten the curve and pull it off?

Bill,
Freedom is the key that can potentially unlock every door that blocks a living thriving future. I lived and worked during the decades of our fear that Japan was eclipsing the US. Japan held to a heavy handed top down control over their economy and their economy essentially collapsed. Japan has yet to recover even a fraction of what we in America feared it would become.
Ditto in spades redoubled for China. Their system is sustainable only because they have been a vampire on the abundance of mostly free economies. They too will collapse because they are not free to generate wealth from within.
We will survive to the extent that we are free. If we sell our freedom for the apparent shiny thing of top down power and control, we too will collapse. We would have earned our collapse by our submission to a fools gold glitter.
He who is free, never submits. He who submits, was never free. Stay free!
I want very much to have the optimism that I see in this episode. I believe that the economy will come back. I do not believe that Americans will see freedom return to its former stature. I believe that most Americans cannot be bothered to care about mere freedom when Netflix has a new series to watch.
