Glad to see this. Known it for years. (Chemical Engineering trained. Programmer for over 20 years) I see magnificent engineering in the universe, and incredible programming. Ever since the Big Bang Theory has become the standard, I’ve had fun pointing out that had to be a supernatural event. That is, above or at least outside of nature. And the Big Bang is the
start
of nature by definition. So, it was supernatural. Boggles many minds, and makes many uncomfortable.
Fascinating topic. Science was always my favorite subject in school, and the one in which I scored the highest grades. I have been a fan of science, not politicized nor culturized but real scientific factuality, all my life.
Where are the anti-theists to argue this video and the concept it conveys is incorrect? I’m happy to debate with them, I just refuse to be belittled by them.
The fact is that I am generally better versed in both science and theology than they are. Those are topics that any well educated, well travelled gentleman or lady should be able to discuss with other people of the same caliber. I say “gentleman” in the chivalrous sense, not the limp wristed one.
In my experience most anti-theists claim to have “studied religion” and yet somehow never got past their ridiculous idea that the rest of us think a bearded old man in the clouds is running things. Or go ahead and pick any of the other childishly ridiculous cartoons they paint so they can scoff at their own pictures. Because that’s what they do, it’s called a “straw man argument” in classical logic.
Even more preposterous are those anti-theists that claim they are atheists. They’re not. A real atheist is by force also a nihilist else he’s a liar and a hypocrite. He cares nothing for theosophical topics, no more than I would care to discuss the finer points of knitting or a pacifist is enthralled by conversations on applied ballistic trigonometry in the form of lethal projectiles. In exactly the same way an atheist has no interest in a God he does not believe exists.
An antitheist on the other hand is rabidly opposed to any notion of God whatsoever and can be recognized by his vituperate, smarmy, condescending posturing whenever the subject of religion is broached. He will gladly trot out his ignorance and spew his bile with total disregard to civility because “he’s not fooled” by his own caricature of God. He and his kind have created a god they have no respect for. His god is “No God”, the anti-God and his religion is as or more profoundly cherished and defended as any other. Because he is a religious person and he is practicing his religious beliefs he is as much a zealot as any Jihadi beheading infidels in the name of Allah.
That is why he is so angry, his religion is being challenged and his faith is in question. That he declares he has no faith at all is an absurdity. Of course he does, his faith is one opposed to Faith and that is all it is.
The idea of them practicing their religion of antitheism somehow makes them my intellectual superior leaves me humorless. Which makes me prone to slice and dice rather than discuss.
If we can dialog with respect and dignity that’s another matter, it is not I who am at the disadvantage.
Thank you for posting this video/link. I found it added to my amazement over the complexity of Creation. That was a lot of fun and something I quite enjoy.
For me, it demonstrates and displays the mastery of my Uncreated Creator’s creation.

I had a friend who happened to be a Catholic nun. I’m not Catholic but we used to have some amazing discussions along these lines.
(She was a Christian, that needs to be said because not all Catholics are. She loved the ritual and traditional aspects of her Church while readily admitting that her Church, while a path to Grace, was not the only path to Grace. She was of the correct opinion that Grace is not attained by adherence to ritual and dogma, no body of human beings can bestow or withhold Grace. Grace is personal and a matter of Faith. If it were not so then the sacrifice of The Cross was likewise impersonal and merely political. Faith exists both in and out of Catholicism. She was a wonderful lady and has since left this world — I have no doubt of her present whereabouts.)
She described things like this video covers as “the mysteries”. All the things mankind does not know though yet may discover. We agreed that if you take science at its face value and look at it honestly as a whole — Scientific discovery merely reveals ever deeper wonders of Creation. No matter how many layers you peel back and how many mysteries you solve, you always find the Face of God smiling back at you beneath them.
