Bill at about 1:16:54 — “Now get back there and make me a sandwich!” Yup — its quite clear that its Bill who wears the pants in that Family. But its NATASHA who tells him when to take them off.

Thank you very much for adding the TSL episodes to sound cloud! I have developed a sensitivity to high bandwidth frequencies and have been trying to cut down on streaming and wifi after years of 4-6 a day of it (I have the privilege of being allowed to have a listening device in one ear where I labor).
I do hope that the Right Angle shows are also put on sound cloud if possible, though I do know they were set apart as member only content.

You’re welcome, Hugo. All Right Angle episodes are also on SoundCloud, and have been for a long time. They are not reserved for Members only.

One of the counter arguments for illegal immigration is that coming here the legal way is so difficult. And I get that. We’re not saying our immigration system/policy is perfect or even great.

Stories like Natasha’s and her daughter’s is what makes especially southern border policy so egregious. We are basically prioritizing on the basis of … I’d say geography, but I don’t think that’s the whole story. We’re letting the people who butt in line, who don’t really even get in line, who don’t follow the rules over people who follow them, and that is just wrong.

That is a great observation I’m going to steal.

The only people who have contempt for freedom is people who take freedom for granted. People who have been free and know nothing else.

The reason they have contempt for it is that freedom IS (basically) free here.

Perfect. Thank you. I said your greatest added value is helping to give others the words they need to express what they believe when they haven’t been able to come up with them themselves.

That is the basics, yes. The Declaration is the Why. The Constitution is the How (and how NOT).

The Declaration has far more why in it than “you said you’d do this, you didn’t you lying bastards”, though. It is the philosophy behind the Constitution.

When I approach 200 lbs … that’s bad. At about 180, I think I’d look and feel my best. 185 isn’t bad. Several weeks ago I decided that 193 was too high to be going into “The Yummy Season”.

Here’s the deal. 3,500 calories = 1 lb of fat. So to lose a pound a week, you have to burn an average of 500 calories a day MORE than you consume.

I basically did that for a few months a couple of years ago. Used that fitbit to tell how many calories I burned each day. And they had an app to enter what you ate each day. And I did my best to estimate what wasn’t there. Looked things up on the internet. It allowed me to enter what I thought if it wasn’t in their database. And I weighed my food so I knew how much I was consuming. The app would even tell me how many more calories I could consume the rest of the day. It changed the way I look at food. I still love food, and just like everyone else I love sweet, salty, fatty food.

Anyway, at my age and weight and height I burn just under 1,800 a day just sitting on my butt. I’ve noticed that standing my heart rate is about 10 BPM higher than it is when I’m sitting. I used to ride my bike to work, but now, since COVID, in IT, I’m permanently working from home. So I do about a 30-40 minute workout 5 days a week. It only burns about 300, but I get to add that to my 1,800, plus maybe another 200-300 just because I do move about SOME. So I burn around maybe 2,300-ish calories a day doing what I do with my workouts.

So I need to keep my calorie consumption down to about 1,800 a day to lose a pound a week. And I know that. And it affects my eating habits.

It worked. I pretty much lost a pound a week.

And I’m doing the same thing this time. I’m down to 186.

I had done exercise on and off but when I was trying for a baby (8 years …IVF) I was afraid to start anything strenuous… though walking would have been good… a couple of months after I had my baby, my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and shrank so quickly that I honestly didn’t think she would make it to the end of the year… We flew with her back to Toronto where she was getting the same treatment as in Israel … with the connections of her nephew who had been an extremely well respected doctor in the city before he moved to the states… but he insisted that she also begin a regimen of physiotherapy with a lovely trainer he had worked with… the two became great friends and the change was quite miraculous and she regained strength and muscle… and survived another 4 years…
and being with my baby often gave her a great deal of joy and laughter…
I saw the change and after our return, I began Pilates classes that a friend recommended… once a week and then twice and then for a period 4 times a week… It is almost 21 years later and I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago and a few sizes smaller… and now I have added weight lifting with a trainer to my twice a week Pilates… I love it…
Find the workout that is fun for you… it works wonders!!
and so lovely to see and hear Natasha… thank you for gracing us with your presence… by the way… not sure that you need a visa to visit Israel with a Russian passport… just saying…

Its ABOUT TIME you invited the lovely, enchanting and charming Natasha back on the show. We’re glad you’re back, Natasha — Welcome Home.

Yes, exercise is so important. And Bill had a great idea about “pedaling” your computer in order to operate it. Believe it or not, the FRENCH have already discovered that idea and here’s how they do it (its really an ad, but its great).

I like to think of the Declaration of Independence as the “Science” and the Constitution as the “Engineering”. The Science is about as perfect as it can be. The engineering, like all engineering, is about practicalities and making tradeoffs.

Also, the Hugens Probe did get footage of the surface

I have not even listened yet. I’m just commenting on the click-bait image Bill posted……….Bill….who? Stratosphere Lounge with your host Natasha Whittle. Yeah!

After seeing Scott’s weight loss, Mrs Ron and I started walking. We walk with each other, and have only missed 2 days this month. We are also eating more fish. Starting to come off slowly, but we are already feeling better.
There are other benefits as well, not the least of which is we spend 45 minutes each day talking to only each other.

My lovely bride and I walk together along the lake near sunset, and I walk 4-7 miles at a much faster clip almost every morning, listening to audio books. I started walking for health, but the benefit of her presence and of exponentially greater learning — in addition to becoming familiar with my community and seeing the beauty of creation — were unexpected joys. Revel in it, my brother.

Wow – so you walk 1-2 hours each morning? That is dedication. Sleep is very important to health, too.

My pace is roughly 13.5 minutes per mile on average, thanks to long legs. Yesterday, I walked 7.09 miles in an hour and 35 minutes.

RE: 1964 photo. Also what people looked like when almost all males had mandatory military service. I have seen photos of my dad when he came back from Berlin in the 50s, he was in great shape. Kept it until well into his late 30s.

Think it may have been mine. Though searching for Bill on Spotify is still spotty. Not sure if it’s being throttled. His interviews with other folks come up before self content. Virtue Signal pops up but along with his fairly recent stint on Mike Rowe’s Podcast.
Even “The Bill Whittle Network” results in an error this morning.
Oh, well. I’ll always have Paris. 😉

Sorry I missed the live broadcast, Bill. Welcome back, Natasha, glad your Mom is doing well.

To your point about WWI, and giving up ground but not surrendering… I ran across this video last week. Now, these being primarily U.S. Veterans, the language is rather salty. But they make their point, regardless.

This administration has spread themselves too thin. They’ve overrun their coverage. And, they have pissed off the wrong people.

I am six days older than you, Bill, and have come to the same conclusion about exercise. I’m sorry to say that in 2020, I stopped doing vigorous exercise. Well, I’ve turned that around and hope to get back into even better shape than I was before.

Keep fighting the good fight!

PS- As for Klaus Schwab, The Great Reset, Build Back Better, Davos, Climate Change, Covid, and how it all fits together… This is a good synopsis:
