Despicable. I’m not deeply familiar with Mr. Scruton’s writings, but the gems I’ve seen from the @Scruton_Quotes Twitter account have impressed me greatly. To cite one from today:
It appears that’s exactly what’s happening here. I think the only answer to this kind of thing is to continue to challenge it. We need courageous individuals who will persist in speaking the truth no matter the consequences from the outrage mob; and in doing so, they will force the outrage mob to reveal its practice of suppressing free expression for all to see.
All of Western Civilization is in deep, deep doo-doo, and we’ve no-one but ourselves to blame. I hate it when that happens.
